- Transformers Buzzworthy Bumblebee Studio Series 86 has Ironhide and Prowl as you’ve never seen them before. Dead. This two-pack is an homage to their final moments in Transformers the Movie as the Decepticons attack the Autobot Shuttle and eliminate all resistance. Captain Kyle, despite his broken heart, examines this set to see if it would fit in your collection.
Ironhide and Prowl were Autobot heroes who fought side-by-side with Optimus Prime for millions of years. In the blink of an eye, the Decepticons attacked their shuttle and put them, and two other heroic Autobots, Brawn and Ratchet, out of commission permanently. While Hasbro thought they were just making way for new toys, fans felt devastated by the loss of so many of their favorite characters. This set, which started as a joke, is now a reality and gives us versions of Ironhide and Prowl that have been blasted by the Decepticons, complete with blast effects. Captain Kyle examines this set and compares it to the molds they were based on to give you all the grim details.

This video cracked me up quite a few times. The way you handled your cat being a part of the video was priceless. Like you said, the toy subject matter is kind of sad and tragic, but darn if I wasn't still giggling the whole time. Keep up the great work!!! ^_^
This set is on clearance at Target. Got mine for $17.00. I guess these sets were just shelf warming.
I see it as a tease because this is my favorite Transformer he had to die, Prowl was one of my favorite Transformers

Great review. i have this pack. it is cool. waiting for the inevitable Brawn/Ratchet deathpack. they got rid of the clear plastic in these. that is why they have painted windows and the color matching is better on Ironhide than the SS version due to him not having clear plastic. the new one is a brighter red. Ironhide is a new mold from the Earthrise version. they should have had a smoke effect that plugged into Prowls mouth lolol
When they are in vehicle mode looks like they had a little to many energon cocktails and got in a wreck lol.
They need to do a dead wheeljack and Windcharger, I found that the most disturbing image from the film as a child.
That flap on Prowl is hard to flush but after forcing it it does snap into place

I got one today at Ross. The box had two significant tears on it. I wanted to get one that the box was fine but some real old woman was holding it and I asked her if I could see it. Because she got one already that the box was in good shape in her cart. And she looked at me with this selfish careless face and she put that other one in the cart as well. She got two and all I wanted was a mint box one. Had to settle for that one but atleast Prowl's waist hasn't come off during transformation yet. It is holding so far. Wondering if it is the case with either of her's? Sorry about your copy though. I was afraid I couldn't get one later so I got it just in case. Still pleased with it. Fixed the tears with white transparent packing tape.
Mine are on the way from Hasbro Pulse. They’re supposed to make it here tomorrow, though it might be Monday.
I don’t have Earthrise Prowl, but have SS86 Ironhide. May try to hunt down ER Prowl in the future, but Dead Prowl will be a nice stand-in lol
Prowl never had shoulder cannons in the cartoon though but I think the original toy did and allot of variations of his character does so meh can't say you're completely wrong lol.
The original and many others did. Then again, the toy of Jazz had a shoulder mounted missile launcher that never appeared on the show either.
Prowl have more solid plastic instead of clear plastic, wich is kinda sad for the dying version
I could see people parts swapping prowl for some of the different painted bits like the wheels. Maybe the grey legs.
I saw youtube video where someone swapped out parts with another Prowl to make a cool new version with the best of both.

Man, why does it have to be in a two pack? Why did they need to be battle damaged? I get it, its one scene… but it feels like those little accessories that are unnecessary in the MP figures, like mp-36’s key or Star Screams claw hand.
On top of that-
I just want Ironhide.
Thats also a huge minus to me, too.
They could of added parts swapping with their chests and their faces. It would of been perfect if they have done it. Typical Hasbro.

Iron hide only had one gun on the ship before being killed it was Rachet who had two guns but most people think it was Iron hide he didn't he only had one.
Ironhide is the type that packs more guns than Rachet. Must of been an animation mistake.
It's still a joke. It's a SICK joke. I really don't know if I want to buy this set. Especially since I own the other sets that are ALIVE!
