Gonna love watching how this comes together. Every year it seems i add another raised bed. And want to experiment with growing something new. 5 years ago i put down cardboard and then got a truck load of woodchips. Then built my raised beds ontop. This past spring i just refreshed it with more woodchips.

Last year I gave up 1/2 my front yard grass for 4 raised beds because that’s where my sun is.

They were lucky to have that great spot in the back. They don't have much of a front yard.

    1) My neighbor has a raised bed garden. He uses big pavers between the rows to walk on.
    2) Is it best to have a raised bed garden or till up and plant directly into the soil like I do. I grow tomatoes 🍅 peppers 🫑 pumpkins 🎃 for a roadside stand in front of my house.
    3) I’ve been trying to get my cousin to put in a garden. They live in the country with lots of trees and the only sunny spot is to the east of their house over looking their pond which is their leach field. Not sure if you want to fill up a leach field to plant a garden or not but I would think that that would be a perfect spot for them for a container garden?

In ground gardens are nearly always cheaper and easier to start. But in my brothers case the ground in there area is excessively ROCKY. I mean it is REALLY bad. So it is easier to just add raised beds.
I don't know what a leach field is so I can't help you there. Containers are always harder to garden in, but not impossible.

@@StoneyAcresGardening a Leech field is where the waste goes for you septic tank. City sewers don’t run in the country, so they have a septic tank.

They also have chickens. I figured that they could use that manure in the garden as well. She thinks it too hot. I said then just throw it in a compost pile.
