Nice video. I have the one from Harbor Freight. I like everything about it except the swivel joint seal at the air inlet. It's not a well machined part which causes the O-ring to fail often and requires disassembly for replacement. When I forget to valve off the reel, I find the next day that my large storage tank is empty and have to have the 6hp compressor pump it up again. I'm looking for a higher quality reel.

Are you able to lubricate the reel mechanism as I will be using it outdoors on a mobile application?

    Last point.
The ball on the hose is to stop the winder and leave a pigtail on most hose reels you can adjust the balls position so it can't wind all the hose
Up to where you can't reach it without a ladder. You can move where the ball is on the hose.

What happens if you accidentally drop the hose while feeding it back in probably goes whipping around? Which is not a problem unless it's near your cars.

Hose didn’t last long before developing cracks and leaks. Always had mine in the garage.

DO YOU YELL AT PEOPLE WILE YOU TALK TO THEM LIKE ITS SCRIPTED MATERIAL?
Seriously, just talk to your viewers like you talking to a friend
Go over the steps like your telling how you did it, you can teach that way without YELLING AT US.
Go ahead and say me and my dad,
He decided the best way to do this was lag into the studs, personally
I would have cut out the drywall and put in 2x8 horizontal boards put the drywall back up and then drilled to bolt the plywood to the wall. Remember the wall studs are only held up with 16 penny nails
And the bottom might be toenaild the top nailed down the real load is dispersed by the drywall when your pulling the hose reel off a wall.
Your better off going into a ceiling joist, that joist is designed to carry load better. Also you can't be sure
You hit a wall stud center, if you only catch an edge the wood can split, for this to work you have to know where the center of the stud is, 15" on center can get you in the ballpark, but its best to probe with a finnish nail on both sides of the wall stud to find the center.
You must drill or you will split the wall stud. A drop celings in a garage is legal there? It should be 5/8" drywall 2 hour fire block.
That would not pass code here.

A drill hole template are you serious? If you need a template to mount this thing, then you shouldn’t be using an air hose lol.
