I think the problem is that they tried too hard to depict Jobs as a unquestionable Genius that just spourts quotes and "revolutionary" sayings that they writers prolly got out of his inspirational biography xd
This movie gets alot of things wrong, but it does get the gist of what happened right. Steve was right all along, Woz was too. Steve was just too young, and so was the technology. I think we all know how it eventually turned out.
A lot of movies based of off real life events are historically inaccurate. Look at the other movie with Michael Fassbender. Wozniak gave an interview in which he said that even though he liked the movie he pointed out that he would never have shouted at Steve Jobs like that in real life.
Jobs is a hero to empty things. Computers and phones and tablets and making money. All the while shitting on people. Especially your own kid. I would tell people that things get thrown away. His hero invented the instant Polaroid. They were outdated in no time. Time is short. Be selective about how you spend it. And what true investments beyond your life really is.
Fassbender was Steve Jobs, but when I watch Ashton it's like watching an actor and he's thinking to himself 'yeeeaaah Im acting!!!' its painful at points
So bad it's unreal. And for the record, Ive was the one who was about to quit Apple before actually taking the concept of the iMac directly to Steve, who told him and the team to go ahead and develop it.
You can pretend that Ashton Kutcher is suffering from Alzheimers in this scene and that the apple co-workers are a hospital staff apart of this elaborate recreation of the apple building inside a rehabilitative nursing home.
Lol Steve knew Jon Ives even before he returned to Apple. Why can't this movie be more accurate about stuff. Its like the movie is a bunch of inspirational quotes compiled to one.
I don't like how the actors are portraying this scene. They seem to be implying that Steve Jobs is criticizing Jonny by saying, 'Why are you still here since your design sucks?' However, in reality, the writer (and the real Steve Jobs) meant, 'Why are you still here since the company sucks?’.
" The computer or the Walkman Should be a Natural Extension of the Individual " My Smartphone was at 3% and I almost had a heart attack. You sure achieved your goal.
What this scene succeeds on, is you dont stop listening to the engineers and designers, in favor of sales and marketing. Ask Boeing how that's working out right now.
Well its then because of this guy as soon they fired the guy who carried on steves style jony made it sleek and minimalistic or bluntly said bland and boring😂
The problem with Ashton is that he tryed too hard. He should have played himself, more natural. He could have taken one or two things from the real Steve Jobs but that's it. He is not Jamie Foxx in Ray or Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Capote. Those are more talented actors. Ashton is not good enough to pull this out
Lol.. Steve Jobs took a salary of $1 per year for being CEO of Apple. And he joined the company when it was 3 months from bankruptcy. So the stock he got was essentially worthless when he took the Job. And Johnny Ive”s net worth now is 500 million.. Nice hatred you have going on there. Hope this imaginary version of popular people you have in your head gives you some temporary sense of self worth.

When they came out it was pretty awesome. I mean unless you grew up in the 80s you have no idea about every time you used a computer it was a gray or beige block with no design. Then they brought this out and you could pick what color background you wanted on your iMac. It was a little thing but back then it stood out from the rest. However once the screens got flatter I look back at that and think damn how much space did I have to use to get that thing on my desk in my office??

Everything is comically over the top! The walking, the staring, all the talk, the music, ass kissing...
Burn!
good lord this movie is just a montage of inspirational speeches.
Yeah bahahahahha
Lol
Best description I’ve heard of this movie. I’m a huge fan of Jobs but I absolutely hate this movie.
It's cheesy and gimmicky
If you want a good movie about this watch Pirates of Silicon Valley, it was made in the 90s and has never been topped.
Set designer has clearly never seen a professional industrial design studio.
The saddest part of this movie is they tried as hard as they could.
XDDDDDDDDD
I don't understand
I think the problem is that they tried too hard to depict Jobs as a unquestionable Genius that just spourts quotes and "revolutionary" sayings that they writers prolly got out of his inspirational biography xd
Why is everything made to be like some inspirational quote? "why are you still here?"
why do you care? its a movie
Met actor that played John Ive. Great guy. He does resemble Older John Ive too.
I love jony ive voice especially when he say 'more'
And Jobs said onto Ive "Upon this rock I shall build my church"
2:34 "So I care a lot about horses, and I think they're pretty cool so I made a clay horse"
"Maybe he could even put the speakers in the front or add more memory while he is at it"

And here i have my iphone 6 watching this clip on it on youtube and feel the same as Jonathan Ive puts words to my feelings.
You'd think that after this movie goes to black there's a quote from Apple saying "Now Go Buy A Mac"
" The computer or the Walkman Should be a Natural Extension of the Individual "
My Smartphone was at 3% and I almost had a heart attack.

this is exactly how not to write screenplay. This is the most milquetoast on the nose sludge imaginable.
What? This is fun and nice fan service product just like Apple man.
They might as well shown Johy Ive blowing Jobs and saying give it to me!!!
Does Steve job walk with front of the legs?
Why does Steve Jobs walk around like a cartoon dinosaur?
Amazing

Yea it’s really painful working as an engineer at a company that’s owned by an investment group that’s only focused on quarterly gains.

He says, "I'm not back, yet."
It really annoyed me how they portrayed Ive and Woz in this movie, they aren't shown to be his equals but a couple of dependent suck ups.
The only thing bothersome here was Ashton's poor portrayal of Steve's walk. Otherwise, this was a very good scene!
Steve Jobs doesn't walk like an ostrich.
according to Ashton he does.
He's been unable to walk for years now
Ashton's performance is unbelievable
And not in a good way
This is exactly how steve would react if he sees the apple of today.
Right?!
The time at which jobs met his match in terms of vision.
