    great job again..👍👍, can you tell me and when you have time, what is the measurement in the isle between the fridge and shower..?

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  Před 2 lety +1

      It is 55cm from the fridge to the shower. much smaller than I had hoped for and certainly on van number 2 the shower cubicle is going on a severe diet! the widthways bench toilet (c400) is not going to make a comeback and instead the sideways option (c200) will be used as the overall footprint of the shower tray is smaller. Wifey wanted a good sized shower thinking it would be used all the time! in reality, I think for all van dwellers, the shower is always the 'emergency backup' where other options are not available so on the next van, as 'small as possible' will be the mantra. regards.

      @thenoworriesnomad Před 2 lety

      @@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 Ye that is a bit narrow,so how deep is the shower, mine is going to be about 75cm which should leave more of a gap between the shower and fridge 😊

    Looks nice but can I ask how to fixed it to the side of your van as looking to do something like this but everyone shows you how everything looks but never show how its fired to the van sides thanks

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  Před 2 lety

      Sorry I missed that in the recording. It fixes exactly the same as a 'built-in' fridge in your house, just inside the door there are 2 holes each on the left and right sides where a screw can be inserted to fix to the side panels (furniture board) of the unit it is attaching to. the only thing I found was that it does not come with these screws and you have to be mindful to test the screw size before fitting so it does not go straight through your furniture board. hope that helps.

    Hi there i bought the same fridge do you know if the two red wires are both positive or do you just wire the one red wire. thanks brian.

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  Před 2 lety

      I'll be honest and say I cant really remember exactly. I do recall there was a plastic plug on the end of the wires which I chopped off, but did it have 2x red's, I 'm not sure now. to be on the safe side, better consult the instructions on that one, I know that is a heinous suggestion but probs best on that. good luck.

    Be warned that there are loads of problems with this fridge. There are very painful hissing and rattling sounds from the compressor area (sounds like a broken fighter jet), the door locks up and only one side becomes openable, the fridge door is a nightmare to remove (which is required to remove the freezer compartment; unlike what their false photoshopped images show on their website*), and the interior of the fridge literally becomes a wet bath; all produce gets soaked and there's a new swimming pool building up on the bottom of the fridge every day (water is not lead backwards towards the drain outlet, which isn't even located at ground level).
    I've only had the fridge running without a freezer compartment, could be the case that having a freezer compartment reduces the wet bath problem?
    On my factory-new fridge I had even more problems than what is listed above; such as the door hanging loose on the right side lol. But let's not go into details? 😂😥 I have had two fridges from Dometic, both of them have been a nightmare. Please avoid buying Dometic fridges. They don't seem to know what the hell they are doing TBH. But hey, good thing the door opens both ways, right? 😂
    *Dometic spreads even more misinformation on their website; the control panel unit is not even close as being as "integrated" with the frame as one is lead to believe. The photoshopped images makes it looks so high-end and good looking, but in reality, the entire display is brightly illuminated and the whole thing feels like a plastic toy made in China.

      @@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 That gives me hope lol. I could have just received a particular unit from hell. I am still waiting on an answer from Dometic, but from experience I know that even getting an answer from them must be considered a lucky event. May I ask you something.
      Nr 1: The water collection tray in the back is not flush against the wall. Especially, on the sides of the thing, there are gaps wide enough to fit a pen. Obviously it isn't collecting much water, all of it runs straight through and gets collected on the bottom. Here's one video using a water spray to demonstrate that:
      czcams.com/video/U9FWFDqfp2k/video.html
      And it works after having taped it up lol:
      czcams.com/video/3mUFZ1LFN3s/video.html
      Since your unit works like "a charm", are you saying that the water collection tray in your unit is properly sealed against the walls?
      Nr 2: Did you ever try to have the fridge running without the freezer compartment? That's when sounds get much more audible and the condensation rain fall happens 😂Well, at least on my unit! Here's a photo of that (and it'll pretty much get like this on average twice per day, with NO water going to the outside lol):

      my tray doesn't seal at the edges like yours and I do get a little water right in the bottom but just clean it out. not ideal i know but it is OK for me. i agree on the dometic customer service front, impossible to speak to or get answers from. hope it all works out OK for you.
