    glad i found this before scuffing the entire back of mine trying to pry it off, I bought mine because it was cute and small, if it runs or not doesn't really matter to me, but now I know I don't have the right batteries for it anyway. Thanks for this!

    OMG i bought the same one today and it was not working so i was trying to find out how to fix it what are the odds of

    As soon as you see that is says *Quarts* you know it is not a good watch.

    i have the same pocket watch but i cant figure out how to get mine to work. i think it might just be the battery but not 100% sure

      The Backoffice There parts that look like bronze and some parts that look like pewter. Just looks a bit grubby to me.

      I bought one of these $2 pocketwatches recently too for work, cause i didn't want to ruin my more expensive ones.
      I stripped it, soaked it in nailpolish remover to get the coating off, and polished it with brasso, it actually looks pretty fancy now.
      And it doesn't painfully obviously look like a standart Chinese watch anymore at glance.

      I remember doing the same once many years ago to a break barrel air rifle. The butt was terribly painted but actually really good wood underneath that just needed a little oil 😂

      FairFight14 i’ve got the same one it needs a clean a little bit but not much i’ve cleaned mine it made a difference but not massively.

      By the looks of it, you can use this video as a general guide to what could be some quick fixes
      I got one from a market for the equivalent of £4
      (but it’s like 40 of whatever currency I decided to pay with)
