This video will take you to the SIDARI Strip in Corfu, Greece.
We were there from during the last week of July 2022 after much thought if we'll be going for a summer holiday abroad or staying local in the UK in the midst of all the negative experiences and chaos in the travel industry due to short staffing. Please watch our latest airport experience video. It's in the "4 in a Tribe" playlist in our channel.
We booked a package holiday via lastminute.com whom we had a really awful experience as they have double booked our accommodation. Their customer service is non-existent. We managed to sort it out ourselves anyhow with the aim of getting back to them to fix all the damages and stress they have given us. Whilst we were there in Greece and after settling the Tribe to an alternative accommodation, we aimed at making the most out of the holiday. Please think twice before booking your holiday with lastminute.com as I do not want you to go through the same unpleasant misadventure I had with them.
Anyways, this video will take you to a walking tour of the Sidari Strip whilst we were trying to find out somewhere to eat on arrival to Corfu.
Hope this gives you an overview of what's on and what's going on in the Sidari area if ever you are planning a holiday there. Overall, we liked the location as there were plenty of restaurant choices and water sports activity -- we will vlog this one soon !

We went to Sidari in 1979, it was very peaceful and pretty, a few villas and a long country walk to one hotel called Three brothers.
There was a bakery, small shop and one taverna.
We had perfect weather in September. It looks so different.

Hi, great video! I'm going sidari with my family this week. Would you say sidari strip is fairly OK for families (w/ young children)? Also what time do the market shops close , do you know? Thank you again
Hi!!! Yes it’s totally fine, my youngest is 13yrs old and I’ve seen many families with young kids roaming around the strip even at night in the bars and pubs. Plenty of restaurants and food outlets to choose from. All the shops are open til late…we only ever stayed out in the strip around 11 ish at night and some shops were still open.hope this helps!!!!
Was looking at going to sidari but looks bare compared to other places I've been too. Bit disappointed as I was expecting more of a strip. Thanks for the video though its made my mind up about not going now
Too bad, I found sidari absolutely lovely and the strip really was alive at night. Thus was September last year that we went. If you're after a party destination, this isn't it. But if you want a nice place to relax, beautiful scenery, lovely sea, and a good night life with live music in nearly every bar, this is it.
What is the name of the hotel would you recommend? Or another close ?
Hi Helena, we stayed in an a self catering apartment and there are plenty of these in Sidari. The apartment we were originally booked in is called “Orestis Apartments” but we ended up staying in another apartment next to it due to overbooking. It’s called “Beach Star Hotel” which is not a hotel but also apartments. Both apartments offers very basic accommodation, a kitchenette and basic furnitures…all very basic which is common in all apartments in the area. The location and the view however is FANTASTIC. The beach and the pool by your doorstep. If you’re not too fussy will do. These self catering apartments would normally have their own mini restaurant and bar and also the surrounding area have plenty of places to eat and shops to get your basic necessities from. In terms of an actual HOTEL, there’s really only a few that I’ve seen that is actually by the seafront. Sidari Beach Hotel (seafront hotel) but access to the actual beach right in front of it is not very ideal- stoney. But you can walk a bit further and access the beach via a more sandy facade. I have also seen the Hotel Three Brothers- main entrance right by the Sidari strip. Looks very nice from the outside and conveniently located at this strip however I do not know if the noise coming out from the bars and pubs around the hotel at night affects the customers at night time. The beach is at the back of the hotel I am not sure if they have direct access to the beach from the property. There would also be loads of “APARTHOTELS” around all the way to the Canal D’Amour area. Just carefully read the description of the hotel/apartments that you are looking to book into as some of them would would say “ beach view / sea view “ but still located metres away from the actual beach. Look for the ones actually located by the beach with direct access to it. This saved us loads of money as we didn’t have to buy our drinks and snacks from the bar or from the shops around because we can actually just grab a fresh cold drink straight from the fridge in our apartment within a few steps. Hope this helps!!!
We enjoyed Legends Hotel. If you upgrade to a 2 bed apartment, you have 2 balconies. 😁
