Hook technique is so interesting he whips it from the elbow down
I copied his left hook and It feels tremendly power full
Ya, it's unique. A lot of his strikes are very shovelled or something. I don't know much about his background but I would bet he has some karate training
Yes, he prefers shovel hooks. Less reach and versatility, but tremendous power. My favorite punch on the heavybag
This guys punches from the ass. Meaning that he loads from the glutes and throws. Heâs a hard hitter for sure with that style. Even if hit him while he throws, heâll still be planted to ground in the same place.
@@jayjo1609 he is def planted and has that style. why he eats one to give on at times.
Its insane how such gentle moves can be so deadly
These are Stone Hand moves
And nand hurts when you throw punches lol. Looks cool anyway
"float like a butterfly, sting like a bee"
Its all body mechanics and the symphony of fluidity đ€
â@@deadkyle27But Pereira is flying like no he is not flying he is just stining like a bee
Something so mesmerizing about the way he punches and his footwork.
Effortless yet powerful
What footwork? đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Really his punches suck and his movement is worse
â@@er98ah He has so much power so effortlessly. Clearly he's not trying to go all out
â@@er98ah I'm over here thinking, 'does he always punch with his hands that low?' Sooner or later he's gonna get hit like that.
Izzy probably trying to grow a beard and wrestle bears for this fightđ
Or try to be like middle weight champion or something like that
Casuals like you be wilding
You wish
Izzy will dismantle this guy. Mark my words.
@@ochintianuka7866 or just cruise around, throw some kicks and win by decision
He moves and strikes like Frankenstein, but his power is ridiculous!
Jajajaja
I know right?! But heâs still so effective even though he has such an awkward style.
Hes hitting the bag just working on form an being consistent. You dont throw as fast as you can everytime before a fight of this magnitude. You want him to throw something out due to injury. The punches will be faster come fight night.
Your mom moves and looks like Frankenstein.
Nah heâs way more technical when heâs actually fighting
His left hook is an absolute WAR HAMMER
It's because he whips it from his shoulder. I subconsciously started developing this as I started training more and in a matter of days my hook turned into a somewhat okay one into a really quick agile, and powerful hook. I was impressed and thought I was getting stronger but it was just my technique changing.
Maybe for MMA guys it might look good, but his boxing technique is terrible.
He would getting smacked with pool noodles all day by a true boxing coach.
@@conor7179boxing coach would receive a leg kick from hell itself đ obviously Iâm not bein serious uhm heâs a kickboxer
@@ndalotrenmadide8650 exactly he's a kick boxer.
His hands are very lacking. Natural power but terrible punching fundamentals
@@conor7179 but also realise that this is the only clip you are seeing of him. Heâs a great striker and also in the grand scheme of things he is a great fighter
What I like most is his simplicity of strikes. Basic combos executed effectively will win everytime.
Nothing works every time, basic combers are easier to counter, Alex does get hit sometimes.
Doesn't look very fluid, doesn't wind up, doesn't telegraph, yet is SO effective and generates SO much power! Truly a master of his craft
His strikes are EFFICIENTLY POWERFUL slinging from the hips like that but I donât like how he doesnât reset with a raised guard in between combos he leaves himself open too much itâs just a bad habit the biggest hole in his game
Certainly not a master. His technique is terrible.
Maybe in MMA he'll get away with it, but a good boxer will crack him with counter overhands and check hooks all day.
Roberto Duran always said that short hooks were lethal. You can see the power this man generates from his hips. He also has a real good right hand from long range
His jab is the stiffest jab i have seen in MMA. He was tossing Adesanya backwards with it last night. Just wish he used it more.
Also his straight punches land so hard. After he dropped Strictland briefly with the left hook, he went for the kill with some of the straightest most devastating shots ive seen, even though Alex seemed to put very little behind those kill shots
@@usernotfound904 yea bro, the hits like a truck. But the fight was epic. It's just crazy how evenly matched the fight was. But the power of Perreira's striking made the difference yet again. If he can sharpen up his jujitsu a bit, it's over for everyone else.
â@@usernotfound904 Most importantly he's the only guy who aimed his jab at Izzy's neck/chest. Everyone aims for his head, which is very hard to hit. Pereira went to the chest, and worked his way up through the fight. All that head movement doesn't protect your body.
Its how he turns on his punches and snaps them too! All that on top of natural power and fighting ability
I guarantee Izzy takes him to ground and pound and submit him. He is bringing his many talents next time around. It will not be standup this time. That is for sure. He knows he is fighting a heavyweight that he have to take down. Izzy wins easily.
that guy is scary
He gonna be the new Anderson Silva but more serious and more powerful
He's trash. He doesn't bring his hands back to where they supposed to be
@@darkmoneybrandon24 ???? he fights nothing like anderson silva
So is izzy
@@darkmoneybrandon24 lol...
That left hook has put many people to sleep!!!!

He'll get himself KO'd shooting those shots from the chest.
He has terrible boxing technique
Who's here after poatan became 'AND NEWWWW' Wooww what a fight man both guys really gave it there allđȘđ€
Who's here after Izzy showed Alex what a REAL KO looks like ?! AND STILL ! WOOOOO !
He look stiff but extremely powerful
Look Stiff but He have powerful timing and precision
look at his feet heâs extremely loose
I said the same thing in another post but itâs one of his leading factors on why he has that weird power. Almost like his body doesnât rotate but snaps a certain way to give him his power
its refining the basics with elite level execution.
this is what separates the best for the rest of the pack. next level knowledge of the high percentage moves.
@@eddiesantana3009 its cause if you want to generate real power you have to plant your feet to the ground.
all that pivoting on your toes is for fitness classes. not real fighting techniques.
watch canelo throw his left hooks and keep a eye on his front foot. its not pivoting or rotating. thats not the proper way to punch.
I always felt like I look awkward on the bag even though Iâm so hard on myself about perfecting form. And I guess this shows you donât need pitch perfect looking form to be effective . Given his fight iq and skill is out of this world. But maybe Iâll stop being so hard on myself
Itâs his own technique if your arms are short and you throw the lead hook like he does youâll get close to zero torque and punch like a 6yo girlâŠ
Form is VERY IMPORTANT
This works for him because his long ass arms allow for him to throw his hook like a whip
Yeah and it also depends what your doing, if your strictly boxing then form in most important
A bag is a bag brother. It's just a workout it doesn't dictate a fighter but also you are a lil wrong on his striking here. This is absolutely perfect form. His left hook has zero show in his shoulders. Every single punch hit the mark and with the amount of power he was applying. People think you need to be hands up after every strike, every strike needs to be 100% straight and perfect blah blah blah but they usually aren't fighters themselves and realise how unrealistic that is for actual combat.
@@travismiller1491 a bag isnât just a workout đ seems like you havenât been fighting g, a bag is used to imagine an opponent working on distance management stepping in and out of range, form, set ups etc.
@@travismiller1491 when you reach a pro level you fight with your style, like I said if your using it in boxing circumstances, form is most important. A bag is not just a workout unless you are a novice⊠have you ever been to a gym if you have them you should know thisâŠ
He's about to leave Adesanya frozen, like Elsa.
đđđđđđđ
The footwork and position placement before each strike is beautiful
Wtfck?
He hides that hook. Damn you have to be extra careful fighting this dude.
Those hooks are so quick with no load up and still alot of power on em..He's a scary dude for sure
His forearms are made of steel đ
For me the most interesting thing about this man is how he managed to achieve one punch power with such a lumbar hyperlordosis xD
just like in sprinting, anterior pelvic tilt can be an asset rather than a detriment in combat sports. anterior pelvic tilt is common among âground sportâ athletes. in combat sports you generate force from the ground up, so i guess it makes sense
He punches with his all body weight
izzy close the trilogy with a tko victory
Now this is what you call a Champion.
Dude is the real life Sagat.
No. Sagat Petchyindee or however you spell it is the real life Sagat lol literally

A lot of people criticizing Alex technique⊠they are right to do so, a regular person should not fight like him. He has a style totally unique for his attributes, and thatâs how a fighter should be at the highest level. He did not start out fighting this way, he evolved his style through experience. Guaranteed he knows how to fight the âcorrectâ way, he just chooses not to because this works for him.

The most insane fact about this guy, he only began kickboxing a little over 10 years ago.
Really? Wtf what a beast
That hop with the hook is so fluid
Beast
This dude can crack he doesnât even look like heâs giving 50% and that bag is screaming
His obliques are way more developed than Izzy. I think that is because of how he develops the power in his punch with the core.
Lowkey you can barely see his hooks thatâs how fast he is
You wouldnt think that was one of the best Kickboxers on the planet
Why not?
He ALWAYS leaves his head open when he throws his right. When he throws his left heâs disciplined about guarding.

@@raepradeep7965 you think these guys still don't feel like complete shit in their legs? They most definitely do. Even getting a precise check on someone else can hurt very much.
@@Echani3007 No doubt they'll hurt, just like every other high level kickboxing fight these two have been through. But what's in question in this post is whether or not Alex Pereiras legs will still work after this fight. To which Rae Pradeep replied adequately.
Pray izzys jaw still works
Those punches are so short and crisp. Fucking hell
This dude is a monster win or lose
Izzy is more elegant and talented and has a best technique!
Why does he drop his Hands? They always tell noobs to keep their guard up while striking
He's not a noob. He knows when he needs his hands up
Izzy does the same thing. At an elite level you can switch styles accordingly, hence the name Stylebender. While Alex and many fighters do the same, some pay the price (Strickland)....I don't think that'll be the case for anyone like Izzy though...he's more like Silva in that regard. Alex on the other hand... we'll have to wait and see. . .
That left hook is so lethal looking, imagine trying to avoid that missle.
A Heavyweight fighting at middleweight. Speaks volumes
Not once does he block his face, Izzy knocks him out then chokes him out rd 2!
Maybe. But yeah his defense is lacking, thats really where he struggled against Izzy in Kb. Yeah yeah, âhurdur, he beat Izzy twiceâ but its pretty widely agreed that Izzy got robbed in the first fight. And he was mopping the floor with Alex in the second fight, would have gotten the tko if not for the standing count Kb does, until Alex got that well placed shot in. We all know Alex is powerful and a talented offensive striker, but if he wants to win this heâs going to need to really work on his head movement and reaction speed
Everybody talm bout Izzy this and Izzy that , Izzy ain knocked nobody out in over 2 years and has 2 knockdowns in his past 5 fights lmao Alex p got more knockdowns on Strickland in 1 fight then Izzy has in the past 5 đđ
Itâs not all about knocking someone out, thatâs not it. Izzy dissects his opponents and is a smart fighter. He has knockouts to his resume but that doesnât take away anything.
@@nathangreen1527 his last 2 flight's weren't good and u could argue that bobby knuckles won the rematch, still i believe this will be a close fight
Very fluid, natural POWER! Quick straight punches and stamina. Dude is a monster, and didn't take him long to beat the best Champion ever to hold the belt! Pretty amazing story this guy has to tell!!
I love how he throws his left hook! A lot of boxers throw it like that, idk what itâs called but I know itâs a variation of the âbasicâ left hook you learn the first day in class.

Never noticed how he snaps over his hook tucking his elbow in. I always thought he just ripped off his Nick name from Duran but it may actually be inspired by in a fair way. Tyson modded his hook off Roberto too as heâs said in the past - he was his favorite fighter after all even in front of Ali. This is awesome to see !
He's just perfect. Like a fighting machine, he's built for either fighting or hunting tigers.

That left hook is deadly đ đŻ
He's a physical specimen, genetically gifted.
You can literally feel how powerful the punches are. Insane! This guy is a beast âïž
Punches look so effortless and heavy
Do not underestimate this guy very technical and alot of power phenomenal
He's got power but his technique is horrible.
His style is very unique for sure, it's not what a typical sharp striker looks like.
Lots of technique and strength! He's not just punching, and a bullet each blow. He got knocked out.
His left hook is a thing of beauty
The man's an absolute unit... He's almost robotic but the power he unleashes is madness... đđȘ
The scary thing with Poatan is youâve gotta be perfect for 25 minutes against him but he just needs to be perfect with a single left hook đ„¶
That bag does a great Izzy impression
that check hook look so effortless
People might think his boxing is weird but he also has a whole arsenalđ„¶
I think two great technical reasons for why his left hook is so hard are:
1 he does a tiny jump from his left foot to his right while he rotates which rips his hips and upper body around faster
2 because of that jump, he throws his whole body weight behind it
.. Amazing how such a subtle movement makes it so effective combined with how he sets up his shots and that he only needs to dip a little for that minimal jump and not wind his arm as much.
Damn he never keeps a hand up to block lmao this guys gunna get in there and bang
And bang ? đ
The movement looks so gentle but its deadly af
That back foot generates a lot of power.
He is not a man he is a monster đ
He is sharpening the bag with his strikes
Stylebender gotta kick the hell out of that lead legđź
Iâve been saying that for ages. That lead leg will be cooked by the middle of the 1st round.
He disguises his punches really well, itâs how he caught adesanya
