    .........@2.10, notice when Everton slam in a long range goal that most of the fans behind the goal do not move as there is a massive away support from the Newcastle fans. V. impressive as it was rare for there to be huge away support apart from local derbies.

    From wooden benches and basic standing areas in 1970 to 8 feet high metal railings in 1976. The sad escalation of violence and hooliganism. Football was a dangerous game to support in the 70s. Riding high January 1970 Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham. By the end of the 70s these teams had suffered dramatic downturns.

    14:49 - Chelsea score two own goals in the same game against Bolton Wanderers. The second by Gary Wilkins is a clinical finish!
    30:22 - Suicidal back pass by Keith Weller.
    58:50 - Not only a terrible own goal, but a terrible hairstyle as well!
    1:27:05 - Referee standing behind the goal at a corner kick - I've never seen this positioning before.
    1:40:43 - Dave Thomas was famous for his socks rolled down around his ankles.

    Comment Tottenham qui a fini 9ème cette année a pu descendre l'année d'après ?
    Où jouait Peter Shilton ?

    • @YeOldeFootballChannel
      @YeOldeFootballChannel  Před 5 lety

      In English: Tottenham got relegated because it was the end of an era: no Chivers, no Coates, no Peters, no golden-age starts, and young, inexperienced players were some reasons for the relegation.
      Shilton was playing at Stoke at that time until 1977.
