  • I decided to try prismatic sword together with dark lantern on Pyromancer to see how well the debuff stacking would work! Hope you enjoy the game :)

    Holy Spear being an On Hit effect means that it's actually tragically awful against random debuffs as it becomes very difficult to remove blind with it.

      Wtf holy spear is terrible. I could have swore the item had 200% accuracy specifically to stop the thing that it's supposed to counter from countering itself

    I did something similar with prismatic, panda, darksaber, and reaper's dagger. Even got lucky with an amulet of feasting in round two so my panda was going nuts.
    I love how much versatility and build potential these new items are bringing. This beta got me to reinstall the game after a dry spell!

      yeah, there's so much good thing you can try with prismatic, I love it !
      Although, the prismatic builds are probably a bit weaker than specialised builds, maybe if you can find 9 prismatic orbs, you'd be able to surround your sword with 8 orbs and create and absolute monster but, well, that's not easy to get I guess ! (it's +80% attack speed; +3.2 damages per hit; 120% lifesteal; 80% to inflict 3 debuff on hit on the sword and at least 26 start of battle trigger of the orbs on every traits (the two orbs at the tip and the handle sees at least 2 other orbs and the sword (so 2*3=6), the two orbs in the middle of the sides sees at least one orb and the sword (so 2*2=4) and the four orbs on the edge of the sides sees at least 3 orbs and the sword (so 4*4=16) so 6+4+16=26 orb star slots filled with a prismatic item so at the very least 52 start mana, 26 start vamp, +130% healing (so the sword with 120% life steal will heal 276% of the damages dealt (remember, this sword will attack at least twice per second and will scale more than 3 damages per hit) and 26 random debuff inflicted) and it's at least 26 orb trigger of every trait because orbs have other star slots you can fill with other item, a dark lantern next to the 3 orbs on one side will be seen by the 3 orbs and will have 3 dark items in its diamond slots and as a fire Item, can also be turned Holy by a sun armor (so another +15% healing on top of the 3 starting debuff)
      But the 9 orbs alone are 108 golds so you'd need a lot of luck to manage to get all of these, I'm merely losing myself in these awesome potential stats ...

      @@yozarahirvi4750 I commend you for doing all that math!! I'd love to see that sort of build, but you're right about the cost and luck involved. I'd also love to see some toads thrown in; I think their star placement also lends to some versatility in builds!

    • @yozarahirvi4750
      @yozarahirvi4750 Před 9 dny

      @@SnipeyDaSniper The toads aren't great with prismatic, they works with item that gain AND spend buffs (like the rapier or the mana orb)
      prismatic is only generating buffs (7buffs every 7 seconds with the orbs, plus the starting buffs) and generating buff means "only" healing from the toads (so 70hp every 7 seconds, that's not "great"
      Toads are simply not optimals with prismatic.
      Items that works well with prismatic are items that have multiple traits in the prismatic list :
      -Manathirst is Vampiric and Magic.
      -Moon armor is Magic and Holy
      -Staff of unhealing is Dark and Magic
      There's also the Sun armor that give Holy to adjacent fire items fire is not a prismatic trait but
      -Magic Torch and Staff of Fire are both Fire and Magic so they'd gain the holy trait and would give the sword one Magic and one Holy buff
      - Dark Lantern is Fire and Dark so it would give Holy and Dark buff to the sword
      And finally (I forgot about it on my previous comments on prismatic) there's the corrupted armor that give Dark to adjacent Holy items.
      -Any Holy item between the armor and the sword would give Holy and Dark buff to the sword (sadly, there's no one slot holy item, so you'd only be able to squeeze 2 holy items between the sword and the armor, losing one star slot)
      (I wonder if a prismatic orb would gain a second Dark trait if adjacent to a corrupted armor ?)
      -Mention to both Magic Torch and Staff of fire, being Fire/Magic they could gain Holy through the sun armor and then Dark through the corrupted armor meaning they'd have 3 out of the 4 prismatic traits (I don't think staff of fire would be good in a prismatic since it's not cheap and requier its own build to be strong (and if you're spending your gold on prismatic, you're not spending it on making the Staff better) but the Magic Torch is quite cost efficient, easy to make early (and would probably makes for a good early game before you find your prismatic sword) and would be well paired in the prismatic build.
      (but well, it's still the magic torch price (and it use one wooden sword) plus the Sun Armor's price plus the Corrupted Armor's price so overall 46 gold to make all these items)
      -Other mention to the Moon armor, being already Holy and Magic, a corrupted armor next to it would also give it Dark so again, 3 our of 4 prismatic traits (but that's another 19 gold spend on it whil a prismatic orb only cost 12)

    I think moving the prismatic sword one to the right mightve been a small improvement to th position at the end. (Could potentially have 10% more chance to inflict debuff)
    Not too sure though, and dont know where gloves should go if so.
    (No flame, i am just thinking how can the position of the sword and orbs be better utilized)

    • @Ruiso7
      @Ruiso7 Před 5 dny

      All three of the P. Orbs are already touching the P. Sword and viseversa, it wouldn't make it better, no. It wouldn't be touching the Lantern either, so that is also worse on both the P. Sword and the D. Lantern.
