Red gem in whip would have made so much difference. For all of the fights that you lost, you were fine and even winning until battle rage ended and you lost whip healing and damage reduction.

Maneki-neko is kind of funny. The Japanese means 'beckoning cat' which refers to when the cat holds up one of its front paws, and is thought of as a sign of good fortune and prosperity, but the cat isn't actually doing that in-game.

I think taking inspiration from the SAP shop phase could be good for the game, with consumable upgrades, permanent scaling on star items, effects on sell etc.

I played flame whip frost armor magic lamp yesterday on main branch and absolutely destroyed. Flame whip with ice class unique is way better than flame friend.

17:30 the Amulet of Energy can refund spikes, you don't need to spend 5 at once to get 1 back, the item seems to track the amount of buffs you used and refund 1 once you have used enough.

Pig is an unreliable saving mechanic though as you need to successfully roll into the item.

Having things that scale in shop would ruin the flow of this game. Look at Super Auto Pets. The entire game, top to bottom, demands hyper scaling as fast as you can. Once you reach a certain point, usually within the first two or three rounds, you can no longer pivot off your build, you simply don't have the time to scale your party up again. A creative strategy isn't as important as whatever will give you a full spread of 50/50 pets, ideally with some kind of armor, the fastest. Backpack Battles, in part, is so fun because you have to scale up from base every combat. If you want pre-combat scaling, then you take the items that start you with buffs. Neither you nor your opponent will begin with a weapon or item that is so powerful they will win right away. Yes, there are hammer/dagger builds, but even those can be built around with stun resistance or shields and thorns. I like having to plan on getting buffs mid fight, I think it makes each battle feel a lot more tense and dynamic. To clarify, Super Auto Pets is also a great game. But it is itself, it already exists. Making Backpack Battles be Super Auto Pets is just going to make it less unique

I feel like the lamp is so overtuned that it works with almost anything, one of the best, most consistent combos I played so far is falcon blade lamp

You could play prismatic sword on pyromancer using sun armor, it makes all fire items holy too, which you could use for absurd scaling

I just noticed that the golden cat raised a paw every time you reach a level .... at 20 gold of stars, it raised one hand and then at 40 it raises both hands

The shields need rework It should reduce ranged damage and reduce stamina on melee attack Instead of only countering melee attack

Felt really good on berserker. Did the same idea with shovel opener with totems and stone bags. Pick wolf emblem and go full pet with Stone Golem and then pivot shovel into Greatsword after with all your empower

Oil Lamp with Flame Whip seems intriguing.

for the maneki neko speed buff, Class items are also considered unique, so the class item you get is also 20% faster !

ive been doing totems with berserker u dont need any weapon early besides forge hammer as long as u get leather armor that up front armor lets u get like 9-12 empower which is like 22+ dmg then i got directly to wolves since they dont use stam

i think when the second bird came in the shop you could have rotated the duffel to be vertical so you could move the entire backpack one to the left and then eventually put a second bird around where the bottom wild amulet was so that you could speed up stuff even faster aswell as get 100% crit
