Hey Michael, how about doing a Pokemon No Catching Challenge in Pokemon Glazed? Just so you know, I think of you as my younger brother even though you are cute and funny. Team Sky should do a playthrough of Pokemon Insurgence and Grunty Boi should do one of the Fusion playthrough and Dr. Fuse get on to him. Plus, you probably would want to do a series of Pokemon Solar Light and Lunar Dark. Lots of fakemon and other cool stuff.
I'd honestly really love to see you play through more of the harder rom hacks like Blaze Black, even though all Pokemon and the battles are built around competitive gameplay

I'm currently doing a randomized Nuzlocke on Pokémon Black and my Starter Zekrom just died while level grinding to a wild double battle against two Reshirams on Route 10 just before the Victory Road. That was three days ago and I still didn't recover from that psychologic blow.

Fun fact about the opelicid gym battle: the leader's signature move is dragon tail, which always goes last, meaning it synergises badly with dragon dance. Arguably the gym trainers can be tougher because they can use dragon dance more effectively.
That has always bothered me. Opelucid Gym is the last/penultimate Gym, and has one of the most antisynergic strategies one could come up with.
If GameFreak wanted to have Drayden/Iris have Gen 5 Dragon attack to be their signature move, they should've selected Dual Chop - it's as accurate as Dragon Tail, but stronger and doesn't have negative priority

The fact that you can't have the not-on-the-list types even as secondary types could make this into quite an interesting challenge. I understand that it's a play on monotype runs, but a key part of those runs are coverage. I'm imagining something akin to Chaotic Meatballs' Nuzlocking the entire series thing, but in stead of eliminating the specific pokemon that you used in earlier games, if you eliminated the primary type of your ace pokemon going forward, then you could do 1 game from each generation and by the time you got to Gen 9 you'd have a list of about this length, but you would likely have lost some of the more common types like water and normal. If you included any of the sidegames or remakes, then it would get even more difficult
Next year your should try beating pokemon with ONLY Pokemon. No Digimon, No Monster rancher mons, nothing but Pokemon! I know it's tough but I believe in you Mikey!

For anyone wondering, the rest of the types (besides Dragon and Flying) are in the description.This is why people say it’s the “anti-team sky run” cause flying is not on there but also because there are a lot of dragon types that aren’t flying type but can fly Mikey uses them on his team so it generally just like an anti team sky run.

Fun thought: A challenge where Mikey can only use types that he hasn't done a special playthrough with. No flying types from Team Sky, no Fairy types from Magic Mike, etc. Basically, if I am remembering correctly, he would only have Fire, Water, Ghost, Dragon, Fighting, Rock, Ground, Psychic. Maybe more types than I originally thought.
When I saw the title my first thought was: "Is this just a complicated way of saying he's only using mono typed pokemon." then took a quick scan of the comments and realized what day it was. Now I just want to see a mono type only gameplay.

Aerial Ace is about movement speed and NOT flight capability Mikey. The move's description reads 'the user confounds the target with speed, then slashes.' Bisharp can learn that move because it's quite nimble footed and made of blades so can slash. Beartic can also learn Aerial Ace.

This might be my favorite playthrough on the channel so far! (Though Team Sky in Violet might still be top for me) I love the April 1st Platinum video and this was a nice successor to that. Sure, no hilarious shiny antics, but that can't be controlled. Grunty Boi's sponsor moment and a great appearance by "Skykey" (lol what to even call Team Sky's leader at this point without it sounded confusing?) made up for the fact that maybe, just maybe, the Shiny Gods are still upset about being slain. Also, loved the Dimension 20 reference. Cracked me up and had ne sharing the video with friends who are kind of into Pokemon but VERY into Dropout, who enjoyed as well!
That team sky gag makes me want to see Mikey get sponsored by an air freshener company and rather then have Grunty Boy do the ad read, it’s Team Sky Mikey
