Don’t get me wrong, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the C7, but there are a few things I wish GM had done differently. Some of those things carried over into the C8.

I agree about the exhaust note. I had a C7, and currently own a C8. On both cars I installed the Corsa Extreme exhaust system. The no drone technology works great. Very nice at cruising speed and awesome when you hit the go pedal. My biggest dislike on the C8 is the electronics. I find it very confusing. Now saying that computers have never been my friend. Most folks refer to me a technologically challenged! Cheers!

I have heard so many people say how they love the performance exhaust on the C7 when I’m track mode. The whole time I’m thinking it’s not loud at all especially after the initial cold start. Had a 2020 widebody challenger and it was way louder even stock. Having the AWE track exhaust installed next week so hopefully that wakes it up
I’ve been looking at a few options myself. Hard to decide because I want to hear them in person. Let me know what you think about the AWE once it’s done.

@@RollingWithPoPoJones exhaust sounds awesome. It’s a whole lot louder now and sounds like a corvette should. I got the track exhaust so their is drone but it’s not excessive and doesn’t bother me. And a bonus the 5 inch quad black tips are massive and look so much better than stock tips.

I'm in the same boat. I love the NPP tone, but I think it should be turned up just a little bit to be perfect. Not too much. People from outside the car always say that it sounds awesome, but when I'm driving I think it's a little bit too quiet. I don't encounter enough C7's in the wild to judge. Even then, there's no way for me to know what mode they're in, or if it's 100% stock. I've come to the conclusion that the factory NPP probably sounds much better to people outside of the car than it sounds to the driver from inside.
junk that phone mount and get a Pro Clip mount. Next … my gripes … we also have a 2019 5.0 Mustang GT California Special Edition convertible with pretty much all the options. Our Vette is a 2019 GS with the 2LT with just a few options (we bought it on the lot new and did not pre order it ). The Mustang has the total digital dash which blows away the o e on the Vette. The Mustang engine start is located way better than the Vette one. The Vette is way out of the way and I am always either hitting the screen button or the radio button instead of the start button. My last gripe about the Vette is the exhaust compared to the Mustang exhaust. Both have the load exhaust options and I even pulled the fuse on the Vette for the exhaust so it is always set for track mode. The Mustang exhaust is way louder while driving around than the when driving the Vette. Both of ours are automatic transmissions so may be with the manual transmission you can make it sound louder while driving because you just let it rev longer before shifting… driving higher in the rev range compared to driving with an automatic. How I explain it to my friends is the Mustang has a muscle car sound exhaust and the Vette has more of a super car sound exhaust.
That all being said … which car would I keep over the other ? Hands down the Grand Sport !
Why ? … the look and style of the car can not be beat, the way the power comes on ( the torque ) and lastly the handling ( with the low center of gravity and wide body stance with super wide tires ).
Let’s not forget … everywhere we go it is a head turner and always get asked about it.
Ours is all white with the black mirrors, black rims and black interior.

You really don’t know what the arrow on info screen means. It’s telling you you can scroll that way for more apps
Well I know it’s for that, but if I press it, it does not go to another screen. First thing I checked was to make sure the screen worked in those areas and I was able to confirm that it is responsive. It just does not bring up any other screens when using the arrows. So I assume there are no other apps onboard.

The c8 is a joke,Chevrolet should of continued to make a front engine vette.and made the other one under a different name.and no manual transmission, what a joke
