    Hi Lisa! Just wanted to tell you that you're book 'The Petit Lenormand Oracle' arrived in the mail yesterday and I'm so excited. I chose it as my first book for learning Lenormand, because I love you're approach and vibe. It's great to be able to watch your videos and hear your voice whilst reading your book. Thank you :)

    I'm making my own deck right now. I cut out 36 cards from a few pages of mixed-media paper (with a paper trimmer), and hand-drew each card. Just finished that yesterday. Today I'm going to start colouring all the images, and when I finish that, I'm going to back them with thin scrapbook paper with a repeating pattern. After that I'm going to use a corner-cutter, and then edge them. I'll probably make a matching pouch for them too. :-)

      That's wonderful! It's the best way to learn - the attention you're giving to those cards will bring their meanings to life for you! And, you're putting your energy into that deck to establish the connection for communication. 😀

    Great video! I made my own deck recently and wrote all kinds of words on it. I can see what you mean about one word simplifying it which I think would work for most of the cards but admittedly I get hung up on the cards where there are multiple kind of unrelated meanings. Is that where the extra cards come in? I made a few extra for specific things I felt were missing and I do t always use them but I’ll throw them in if I think they are relevant and that has really helped a lot. Helped me find a missing object! Kept getting the “house” card and realized there was no way to discern if it was in my actual hone or my office and so I threw in my work related card and it popped right up, and yep it was there in my desk drawer at my office 😂

    • @lisaloveslenormand6357
      @lisaloveslenormand6357  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for sharing that story! Missing objects is one of my favorite uses for the cards. Your first comment is important. The primary vibe of each card will remain consistent regardless of the context you're inquiring about. That's how it differs from keywords, which won't all apply to your question. The PV will always fit. Take the Bear for example. My PV is large and in charge, or to put in one word, strength. No matter what keywords you're using, prosperous, courageous, influencing, powerful, management, weight, protection - they all relate to your PV. Does that make sense?

    i dont know if this is possible
    but i really hopr that you will teach playing cards divination too
    i tried to search about them and took down notes. however when i tried to interpret it. the interpretation is largely different from the many... 🙄 i wonder what is right.

    • @lisaloveslenormand6357
      @lisaloveslenormand6357  Před rokem

      I've studied cartomancy and what I can tell you is that there is no standard way to read playing cards. It's older than tarot and has been performed all over the world, so as you can imagine, there are many, many ways to interpret those cards. Just pick one method that you like and stick to it. I don't have any plans to teach it at this time, but it's part of the Grand Jeu Lenormand system that I'm about to start making videos on.

  • @maransoftware
    @maransoftware Před 3 lety

    Thanks Lisa, not sure how I missed this one. Once you have your one word how do you connect the other ideas to it?, Is it by memorization? ❤️

    • @lisaloveslenormand6357
      @lisaloveslenormand6357  Před 3 lety +4

      The purpose of a primary vibe is to choose a word or two that encompasses the essence of the card. For example, if you think of physical health every time you look at the Tree card, that won't help you in readings that have nothing to do with physical health. The card is really about the well-being of something or someone. Something is developing slowly, it's taken root but requires time, patience, and care to bring to fruition. The Fish card is another great example. If you only see "money" when you look at it, you'll miss its true essence which is flow/exchange/abundance. That often has nothing to do with money. It's not about memorization, but about what one word - or even a phrase - will allow you to relate that card to any topic. Does that make sense?

      @@lisaloveslenormand6357 Yes thanks Lisa that makes sense.

    I’m coming back with a question. What do we do with the extra cards in the deck? Is there a list of extra meanings that we can add?

    • @lisaloveslenormand6357
      @lisaloveslenormand6357  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I'm glad you asked! Some deck creators include extra cards numbered above 36 such as Rana's bedroom card and the gilded reverie well card. These cards aren't part of the original Lenormand system and should be removed from the deck before you use it. Read about them in the booklet and learn what they mean. You may also decide to give them your own meanings. You may choose to include some or all of them in certain readings. The other type of extra card would be duplicate cards such as alternate lady and man cards. Again, these should be removed unless you have assigned a meaning to them and purposefully include them in a reading. I have a section in my first book, The Petit Lenormand Oracle, on how to use extra cards.www.amazon.com/Petit-Lenormand-Oracle-Comprehensive-Century/dp/1098359704/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&dib_tag=se&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.osOqUPg31zaazHWccGHIsBzN_LlY_fk0NMtizK91EWQcUGwIcXhBxKl51BPdv5mVCXYEFr_FQFj6kZZbvGluJw.Gs57MuhQvv6ip-mHn046pcovmtfNM6QDWnmPSM7Uibw&qid=1709670972&sr=8-1

    Hi Lisa, i hate to link another video but this is important to talk about, and DonnaLeigh's videos aren't showing up in the algorithm (shes not as active on youtube as of late) and so many beginners could use this info (not to mention deck creators who dont really understand Lenormand. ) So i guess i'm asking if you can make your own video in your own way that discusses the importance of non-cluttered decks with clear pictures. overly busy decks, changing the names of the cards... i'm linking DonnaLeigh's video.. its such good info; what's your take on this? czcams.com/video/aD435BzXF3A/video.html

      Hi Olive. I know I discuss the problems with "busy" images somewhere - probably in the individual card videos. This video is for making a learner's deck from ordinary playing cards, so there are no images. But, I can certainly make a video for those who want to design a deck. I think that's a great idea! Thank you!!
