Where ever he went he was loved
A gem for Canadian history buffs.
Shortly after this speech Churchill had his portrait taken by the famous photographer Yosef Karsh. The portrait is considered the definitive photographic portrait of Churchill. Karsh asked Churchill to remove his cigar. He did remove it but he gave a stern grimace towards Karsh. The photo was snapped and the rest is photographic history.
it's *Yousuf
@@gabrielfriedel4754 He was of armenian descent.
There was also a second photo taken, once Churchill had recovered from the loss of cigar ! and then smiled to the camera. It shows a very humane side to Churchill. At the height of all the pressure and stress he could still relax into a simple gesture of friendliness and hope.
A great statesman and orator!
Churchill had a hard job to do which was not easy but he did it with a good heart and soul
Mr.Churchill's words to "stand by one another, true & faithful, God helping us to the end". These are the men God chose to save his worldly children in times Satan chose to bring them in conflict by World Wars with one another.
The World remembers these men of courage and action during those times which are the founding ideas of an common people of all the World.
I liked the video, but the cuts are too harsh.
Please include a link for the whole entire unedited & uninterupted speech.
Yes, PLEASE!
If it wasn’t for him we’d be speaking German.
What a great statesman and orator Winston Churchill was. Neville Chamberlain he ain't!
I remember the day he passed. Some chicken..
.some neck.
He didn't pass; he died.
@@victorcross5949 He didn't died; he dead.
I think that Churchill took Canadian war service for granted. He saw us as colonials who should automatically follow the "mother country".
Was that not true back then?
if Sir Winston had encountered Trump, he might have said: Some Hair, some Furor!
He’d have said “what a bloody idiot.” Pretty much what anyone with a functioning critical thinking skill set can readily see.
@@JB-uv4hmDont sprew your hate on a Churchill site you idiot.
Rabid TDS?
That was the end of Churchill and his Great Britain.Nowadays they call it United Kingdom. Hehehehehe
'Great Britain refers to the island of Great Britain with three countries: England, Scotland and Wales. United Kingdom's full title is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
