Utilities for a 2100 sq ft homes run anywhere from $250 to $520 (last month) for water, gas, electric. Cold winter and hot summer are highest. Property taxes highest anywhere. That part youâll never escape, whereas in income taxed states, you avoid these taxes. I pay 9k yearly property tax and almost $1000 in home owner association dues.

Median home $269K yet on Movoto cheapest condos starting at $275K! Yikes. So the $150-200K condo range doesnât exist there? Condo property taxes also high?
Way more expensive than Plano. I thought it would be the opposite.

@@jessharris8294 Hey Jessica, we stayed a week in McKinney and I want to say in my short time there, I feel like it's more conservative than liberal/woke. For how long will it stay? I have no idea but we closed on our home there and spoke with a lot of our neighbors and everyone seems to be more right leaning. I looked at the election map and it does show that the area slants right. Hope that helps.
