This is the longplay of the game Batman: Return of The Joker, an action and platform game developed by Sunsoft in 1991 for the NES and which also received versions for Game Boy and Mega Drive. A version for SNES was planned, but was canceled.
The story begins with the Joker escaping from Arkham Asylum, and through various henchmen, trying to send Gotham City into chaos. Batman must survive several side-scrolling levels, as well as defeat five boss levels, to ensure that Gotham is safe.
Quite different from most Batman games (which are Beat'em ups), this is more action and platform and Batman wears a utility belt able to collect different types of missiles and shoot them at enemies, including can concentrate shooting holding the fire button. Stages in scrolling shooter are also present in the game.
It's a game with big sprites, very detailed graphics and a great soundtrack.
    Hope you like it.

This one with Little Nemo & Gi Joe Atlantis Factor. Adventure Island 3 and Darkwing Duck are my fave non Nintendo games for the NES

Hard as hell, but not because of bad game design. The controls are so tight and responsive. It's really challenging, but it plays fair. It also looks absolutely stunning, and has that amazing SunSoft sound, back when SunSoft was at its peak. They really pushed the system to its limits for this one, and imo it's even better than the more well known first Batman game on NES. Better than many top-tier 16-bit action platformers, and I think the NES version of this game is certainly miles better than its Genesis counterpart. A really impressive entry in the NES library, and you play it like an absolute champ. Well done!

NES owners were getting some amazing looking games in that period where the Genesis was out and the SNES was still a while away. This looks as good as plenty of Genesis titles that were out at the time.

This was my absolutely favorite Batman game for the NES. The graphics were ahead of their time, the music was amazing. Was it difficult? yes. Did I care.... Nope.

What a total peak on NES.
Really hoping someone like infidelity ports this game to SNES, and then we can have the best version of it with no sprite flicker, no tile glitching at the edges of the screen, possibly MSU1 audio, and maybe even 16-bit colours if anyone ever decides to update the visuals like that. Now that would be awesome. :)
