Yay Miffy plushies! Did you know Miffy is of dutch origin, and her original name is Nijntje? (Short word for konijntje, which means bunny in dutch. Compare it with 'bun') her design is already 68 years old and she has her own museum in the Netherlands. Can you tell I'm autistic lol 😂

It’s so validating that you move from book to book based on what you feel you need because I always feel so guilty when i planner hop. Thanks for explaining how you use your weekly! Your videos have helped me a lot in learning how to manage my day to day as a neurodivergent person. Can’t wait for the gloomies to go on sale!

Something i’ve been doing is getting a set of one single color dots and just using that as a journal dot so it doesn’t interfere with the other sheets of dots (and not worrying about the specific date because at this point i journal so much that it doesn’t matter to me)

Hi Megan. I discovered your early youtube videos from 6 years ago, and was so impressed with your journaling and the way you kept yourself organized. At my work, my work journal/notebook really helps to keep me organized and grounds me when I 'm stressed, and it really was a life saver at times. So I really value your videos. I'm glad I remained subscribed to your youtube channel for the few years you were absent, and I'm so glad you are back doing these videos again. I enjoy them very much and look forward to them each week. By the way, you have good taste in donuts! :)

so excited for this video--- got inspired to get the Cousin as well (i had been debating for a While about a spring start calendar) after I realized I hadn't touched my old notebook for over a couple weeks and wanted just. A big book of everything. That becomes almost an artifact for my future self once I'm done. Its been working so well and is a lot nicer to carry around than I feared it to be?

I’ve already come back to rewatch this video a couple times as I settle into my own shaken up journal system! I love the concept of a “tome” you carry around, and I’ve found my own version in a TN that lets me compartmentalize to avoid the overwhelm of one big notebook… excited to keep following your journaling journey. I started journalling in my planner after I was inspired by one of your setups, it's a lot nicer than lugging around a stack of notebooks when away for a few nights 😊

Ok I think I wanna get the cousin now 😂 I think I’ll order it for the next year AND the weeks bc the weeks worked surprisingly good for me (and my lost adhd brain) but sometimes it feels a bit small for more stuff to glue in and collect and I wanna get to drawing again and I think the cousin would be a good book for everything 😮 and I can use the weeks on the go bc it fits so nicely in every bag ❤ I just love seeing I’m not the only one switching between books ❤
I still cant believe I bit the bullet and ordered a cousin and then saw your last video pop up a couple of days after I received it. I love your notebook videos so much, they bring such a sense of calm, especially when I'm feeling anxious. I'm still working out what works for me, so my plan is to have my system figured out and perfected by the time the Jan 2024 cousin is released.

Your A5 book is looking great. I want one but I am determined to finish this A6 book this year. It actually feels sort of weird to flip thru it with it already being April. I seriously don't know how the time is passing so quickly. That wax seal looks cool af. And long hair, don't caaaaaaaare.

i’m reading six of crows on kindle app on my phone too, i “read” a year ago by audiobook and it didn’t click for me, because of the show i was flabbergasted that i didnt enjoyed the characters as much a i did in the show, and yep it’s much better on ebook

do you date your commonplace entries since you don't use the dates on the page? just curious if that's something you find important! just started journaling and you've been a great guide
What printer/paper do you use for your journal pictures? They always look so high quality
i tried using the pilot frixion pen in my a6 stalogy and i was horrified when i looked back to find that a couple pages had been erased. not the whole page but just parts. the eraser also ruined the coating on the paper. maybe i am too heavy handed but i had to go back to my fountain pen. luckily i could make out what was there before but my heart fell on my desk when i saw that. i would suggest doing test runs before committing. if you erase a lot do not use it.

I’m not sure if you already headed out on your trip, but if I was in your shoes, I would use a spare laptop case (or something similar) and put my notebook in that. 💙💙 Just a suggestion, in case you have shipping issues.

I love seeing how you use the Cousin, it's very interesting. I think I would love a system like that, all in one book, but I always struggle with A5 books as I like to fill out my planner/journal in places without a big enough table. Plus I write a lot bigger than you so I probably couldn't fit my tasks into the thin "strips" on the weekly view.
Also, I'm wondering where you announce when your shop is open? (I assume you only open it temporarily since I always just get a password field page when I click the link in the video description.)
Print books are great but there's a definite convenience to the Kindle -- and it's much better for your eyes than your phone or tablet screen. Anyone who reads a lot will eventually (i.e., i n later years) feel the eye strain from the phone/tablet. Have you tried audiobooks? Even though I'm a fan of radio information shows, plays, etc., I can't get into audiobooks. 🐕

it’s an epson printer- i think the model number is ‘35’ but i’ve had it for over 7 years so i don’t think it’s made anymore! tbh the pictures aren’t super super clear at this size, but i think that’s a limitation of most inkjet printers

the hobonichi daily colours you mean? not concerned, no! just ignoring them. otherwise i’d become too obsessive i think

the cousin has a year of weekly and daily pages, so i’m hoping it’s going to last me. if i run out i’ll move into the jan 2024 book- i don’t see myself finishing it all before that!

We have soo many issues with Evri too! And we’ve found that when they do actually deliver, they don’t knock the door so we’ve had some parcels sitting on our doorstep in full view, usually getting rained on 🫠
it’s honestly so upsetting lol 🫠 they never knock for us either. i have to obsessively keep an eye on the tracking because if it ends up on the doorstep it’ll get stolen!
