Very tempting…
Hey Tiago (i love ur videos)
I bought this set my self and i saw you missed a part on the front of the ship (its a black pole)
They went unexpectedly hard on those underground cutaways. The Chamber of Secrets is instantly recognizable, even so small.
I’m getting for Christmas
@@IrishvinceSame, Building it right now 😂
I like this this miniature trend. I would hope that at some point we would see miniature modular city buildings/city blocks. This would be really cool to build the city you like and not have to break a bank.
Go check 10230 “Mini Modular” - now retired - but one of my favourite sets ever and exactly in the line you suggest ! MOCers have been steadily replicating the Modulars to mini scale so let’s hope Lego keeps going down this path! I love mini and micro scales - IMHO it’s the best in terms of display and building techniques !!!
I Love Tiago's reviews like these! No need for unnecessary talk, straight down to business.
I wish they make star wars buildings in this style, like the rebel base and the Jedi temple
Good luck with that... Star Wars themed builds are mostly space ships, and more space ships. Oh, and some ground vehicles. There aren't many locations featured in their sets.
honestly the Yavin 4 set should've been something like this
Combining this with the Quidditch polybag promo and mini Hagrid's Hut sidebuild from the previous Hogwarts Castle is so good. Then the only thing it's missing is the rear clock tower.
it's really very detailed... the Harry Potter theme is nice but for now I only made a video on the subject
I actually did this with the quidditch poly bag but the colors are so off. So I built my own in bricklink studio with the correct colors and better scale. Shipping is gonna take 4 weeks 😅
Can I buy the mini Hagrid’s Hut sidebuild somewhere?
@@collinshungry I got a parts list off the internet and ordered them from Bricklink. So there’s a couple extra steps, but yes you can.
@@Gzilla313 Thanks. I’ll try that.
Is this the first licensed microscale architecture set? It’s absolutely gorgeous. I want this, and would absolutely LOVE if they gave LoTR this treatment. Minas Tirith? Hobbiton? Rivendell even? I’d go on a spending spree.
It's part of the Harry Potter theme and not architecture, which takes real Monument
@@arcaelum2022Indeed, but I was referring to the scale more than any specific line. I don’t care in which line they release my microscale Rivendell as long as I get it 😉
@@astralshore Yes, I love rivendell set but 500€ is way too much for me.
I understand what you mean, since they did one for Poudlard, why not for rivendell
I couldn’t agree more. I’ve got no room for the large scale Hogwarts Castle but I love Harry Potter. This is the most spectacular looking lego set I’ve ever owned.
Picked it up a couple of days ago for 130 €, absolutely love it. Just wish they had expanded it some more, to include the quidditch field or Hagrid's hut.
I’m not familiar with HP, but it is a beauty, and even appears to be a good snag for the pieces themselves. Thanks for the redux review, Tiago. For me, it was the perfect amount of info, nothing extra, no fluff! Will buy!!
Not sure if this was intentional by the designers at 4:04, but the potions classroom looks very similar to the one featured in Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7.
This really is the perfect Lego set. It's just amazing. Good value, only prints, gorgeous to look at, features unique minifig, super fun to build. Buy it, people!
I bought this for my wife at christmas and then I bought a second one in order to get the free gift with purchase Space Rocket. It was the only set in the store I felt like I could sell easily. Everything else was too risky and I didnt want to be stuck with a set I couldnt move. This set is so good I was confident I could sell it in a shirt time.
The potion room is from the first book. It was a test to know which one wasn’t poison to cross through a flame door to get to the philosopher stone
Looks more like the Potions classroom (which is located in the dungeons), the potion challenge from the Philosophers Stone only had 7 potions to choose from.
If that were the case, it would be in between the chess room and the mirror room, which it’s not
Lego has been releasing some incredible Harry Potter sets recently. Thanks for the detailed review!
Lol did not expect to find you here 😃
I’m not even a HP set collector but this one is calling to me just from the microscale goodness. I might try to hold out for a year, see if we get another real castle like Himeji. Neuschweistein (?) would be amazing at this scale.
I was wondering if I should pick this one up opposed to the massive one, super happy to see this review!
YES. Save some money you won't be disappointed.
@@TiagoCatarinothe smaller one also covers more buildings of the castle, and so is a more complete and definitive version despite the smaller size
I just started building this beast and you are spot on with how quickly you get to see iconic moments at the very start. I think the first underground room was done by the third bag. Just pure joy to put together.
Honestly it's a great set, I loved building it and It looks so good on my shelves 😋
Honestly this is the best LEGO collab i've seen since StarWars, i hope they keep making more movie collabs like this one.
Agree, nice to see sets which fits smaller display space.
Not everyone lives in a castle and have space to cram our collections in.
Love your videos, I haven’t seen too many comments on your camera work so I am here to compliment it
Awesome! Thank you!
I'm in the middle of this build and I love it so much. I've never looked forward to the sidebar blurbs as I have while building this. It really is a great experience from a nostalgic storytelling perspective as much from the building techniques.
Only sad part is that I coula have used a longer foot print to have the quidich stadium.
I would buy additional small sets with the stadium, hogs mead and the arena.
I'm not a huge HP fan myself, but if I was, had the space and didn't already have the bigger hogwarts, this would be an immediate buy. The value for money in terms of both pieces and detail is great, and I hope to see more sets like this coming from Lego.
I’m not a huge Harry Potter fan but I do love miniatures like this one, I’ll probably pick this one up because it gives me Lego Star Wars or avengers video game vibes
I don't think there is anything weird about the price. It's a set filled with small bricks and small bricks cost less. The price only seems okay to me but not a particularly good deal in my opinion unlike you made it seem.
Agreed. Bought it at Costco for $20 less. That price seemed more reasonable to me. No way I would’ve touched it at $200.
I wish Disneyland castle will have a smaller version like this! Easy for storage
I got this one myself for my birthday and it was such a great experience to build! The building techniques are creative, and I love all the details.
Looks good. Not an HP fan, happy for those in the fandom. I sure hope LEGO will give us more prints in adult sets. The Batman Shadowbox for 399 Euro still has stickers - sole reason I have not bought it yet. Need to go to the pick-a-brick wall again anyway.
I love the building style for this set - it’s a lot like a quality MOC
I hope that this leads to more fictional locations being depicted in Architecture-style sets.
Would love to get some Lord of the Rings locations in this scale!
We need Rivendell in this scale
Hm just a thing… the BIG Hogwarts is microscale… this is smaller than that so it should be nanoscale.
Lego please just make a Hyrule Castle already
I got this set immediately on release and it was great build! I loved all of the newer pieces used in it!
im not even a massive harry potter fan and i really want this its gorgeous
The most perfect Harry Potter set! It has no competition!!! For my personal taste, second is the LEGO Harry Potter Hungarian Horntail Dragon Set (76406) because I love dragons! XD
I’m enjoying the set but actually a bit disappointed with the instruction booklets-several steps include errors, and at least 2 of the trivia blurbs are incorrect (e.g., claiming harry and lupin talk on the viaduct bridge, when it is in fact the covered bridge). It feels rushed and lazy :/
Agree, I also found mistakes on pieces provided to keep the linear expression.
Thanks for this review. I was not intimately aware of how much detail was in this and I now want it! So many cool references and such a great, efficiently-sized build - perfect shelf display for fans
The fact that the much more expensive one didn't include the Bell Towers or Astronomy Tower is why I chose this set. It's also much more budget friendly
I was not planning on buying this set, but now, how can I not? I have been feeling overwhelmed with the size and amount of Harry Potter sets, and I just gave up collecting them. Now I want to sell everything and just buy this one.
The only thing that bugs me about this set is that there is no clock tower. The clock tower is one of my favorite parts of Hogwarts
I don't like those crystal trees. I can't unsee crystals and they don't look like trees to me.
I would really love the big castle, but this is the next best thing. Just got this myself, was going to wait and build to see the actual size but had to come here first haha, couldn't resist. $260 Australian is actually a really good price, surprised it wasn't 3 or 400 tbh.
I’m surprised you never reviewed the class books or the house banners from the Harry Potter sets. They’re the only ones I have, but I love how magical they feel.
Great set, definitely would buy as it is not too big yet it gets the job done! I would definitely pick up if i had the money(which i don’t)
I respect what Lego wanted to do with the Football stadiums, but really this sort of micro-scale footprint would’ve been vastly more ideal for those sets. You are absolutely dead-on about shelf and display economy being a factor when it comes to big sets, and stuff like this or the Architecture line make that perfect line of how to close the gap between a novel hobbyist and a Lego set of said Hobby. The Titanic and Coliseum are fantastic sets, but displaying them is obviously a challenge. I think that they could do a lot more with this range of 100-200 microscale building models, and I hope they do just that. A wonderful and succinct review as always, Tiago.
Im only arriving at harry potter now (here for more the world than the specific characters). I think what explains the price might be hogwarts castle burnout for existing theme collectors.. they have the UCS castle, 2x 3 year "expansion" castles, the latest that ended last year, and another expansion series thats starting now in 24.. perfect timing for me... heh heh heh
I'm not even a Harry Potter fan and I want this set! Just way too cool!
Wow that's an awesome lego build I want to get it 😍😍😍😍
Would love to see this sort of build for other themes as I'm not a fan of Harry Potter but the set does look very cool.
This set is making me get back into lego again!
Man, this thing is just gorgeous.
Wooo new upload!
This looks like a brilliant set, once again a brilliant video. Thank you for bringing this to your channel
Getting this for my partner’s birthday. I cannot wait to watch her build it
On Amazon 25% off since beginning 😊 I can listen your reviews over and over again, hope you enjoying those videos as well 😊
I like the set so much. I bought it already a month ago, but it's still in the box! I'm busy with another set now, but I can't wait to start with this one!
Thanks for the review. My wife is currently building this, she seems pretty happy about it. I am building my NES on the side. Fun as always!
Both amazing sets, good choices!
Not sure if they'll ever make it but I want the Azkaban prison set where it opens up and you see jail cells and the interior of the place. That would be for a fun build.
Hi Tiago can you please teach us to make MOC of Quidich pitch or Hagrid castle to accompany this set
Your posts have inspired me to make my own Lego build reviews thank you!🙌
I literally just bought the giant Hogwarts Castle before this set got announced and I can't tell you how conflicted I am right now...
I'm sorry for your wallet
@@TiagoCatarino 😂
It's a good video but doesn't really do the castle proper justice - hold on, stay with me. The complete thing is AMAZING when you look at it IRL. I have mine on a shelf and with the sense of depth and space (which you don't get from a video) it's simply gorgeous as a scale model. Definitely a must-have for any HP and LEGO fan, if you don't have anything Hogwarts-related yet.
We’ve three scales of Lego hogwarts in our house now. This is my favourite.
thanks for unboxing this amazing set!
I had to!
You are right on! This is the only HP Lego set I own, for the exact reasons you stated. I love it & love your reviews too BTW 👍
I was able to somehow get this set like 2 weeks early from target and was extremely stoked on it. Build took me awhile as I made a mistake on the base and had to rebuild half the model lol
A bat recolored as a Hungarian Horntail would’ve been cool 😎
Great review, but I much prefer the scale and scope of the larger Hogwarts Castle (71043) which, when lights are added, is the only Hogwarts Castle you'll need.
At 4x times the cost and size. Not a whole lot of people will have spare space to fit it whereas this one any bookshelf will do
I have a few of the modular Hogwarts pieces but I think I neeeeeed this one 😍
just got this. cant wait to build it, Its a incredible diorama
Haven’t watched any Harry Potter movies but I prefer this set over the big one
this set makes me wish i was a harry potter fan
I was almost done getting all the Lego sets I wanted and then this this popped up xD
3:49 Is that a new piece, a 2x2 tile with 2 curved corners cutout? I have never seen that before!
me neither!
I'll probably sell some of my other sets like the great hall and clock tower and scale down to this micro set. The detail is amazing and the price isn't too bad. Plus it'll actually fit in my home 😂
Finally!!! I love this set so much 🎉
Hate to see so many plastic injection molt marks. So many were avoidable if the tile etc was placed differently during the build.
I always turn them away from a visible side if possible.
Tiago is the best CZcamsr.
Great video, Tiago!
Great Review!!
We have the big one, this smaller one, and the poly bag one. But can Lego do it even smaller? Lol
I love Lego Harry Potter but I recognise the big castle is very expensive. Furthermore, I like the look of the Concorde set so would you say I would have a better experience buying the Concorde and this Castle and Grounds set over the Harry Potter big castle set? Thanks, and great reviews!
Got it for my besties birthday, she loves it
The potion room is a reference to one of the trials from the philosophers stone book :))
What trial
Great set. Now give us these miniatures in the one true IP that rules them all.
Much like the review states THIS review is the only micro-scale HP Castle review you'll ever need!
Great review Tiago! You always show everything a set has to offer without wasting the viewers' time in overexplaining.
The potion room is from the phylosofer stone book, it was cut from the movie
Okay that’s the only room I wasn’t sure what it was. Really confused me
Concorde is still the best for Tiago ! Oufff !
It looks really nice !
Much prefer smaller sets. I get bored if a set takes more than an hour or so. However, all those one by ones can do one. I've several sets I gave up on because of the monotony of placing them.
Maybe Lego's not for you if the builds bore you that much
This brings back memories of Hogwarts Legacy... I'm almost tempted to 100% it :D
Perfect set!
Thanks for another amazing review Tiago
More to come!
@@TiagoCatarino please do the dune ornithopter when it comes out next year, that one looks like it could be awesome
Wow looks fantastic set awsome review
It really is! Thanks! ❤️
Lego pricing works the same as always. Weight based not piece count based.
Just got it listening to the book while building
Next year there are gonna be the same castle with green rooftops
