- I finally got my hands on a Switch! Better late than never, right? Nintendo's new hybrid console is pretty much a known quantity at this point, but I figured you guys might still enjoy a chill whispered unboxing video! And stay tuned for Zelda: Breath of the Wild videos in the coming weeks :)

Man, I want a Switch for Zelda, but I said I won't be buying any new consoles anymore until there's at least 5 to 8 games out that really interest me. So it's going to take a while until I get one I guess. XD

As a switch owner i highly recommend the plastic skins that go over the joycons. they add a little flair and give the controllers more space to hold onto. Also a screen protector is a necessity.

I've heard that some of those wraps damage the finish, or at least were for the first while, but I'm willing to bet that companies have resolved that now. I should look and see what's available!

The switch was probably one of my best purchases this year. I initially wasn't sold on it but when I have had to travel and wanted to bring a console this thing is extremely convenient. My only downside to it right now is lack of titles but the ones I have so far are great! Zelda was amazing, Mario Kart is fantastic, and Arms is quirky and definitely a great time killer. I also like the adaptability of the system going from portable mode to multiplayer to home console and it isn't an inconvenience to set up. I'm totally excited to see your Zelda content!

A wandering series in Zelda sounds excellent!! Several of the villages, cliff sides, forests, and wide plains are conducive to wandering. I keep finding new things. Full steam ahead on that!

I went half way across my city to get my Switch back in May, I love it and everything about it the only problem I have is that there is no music in the home menu and eshop and there are only two colours for a theme, other than that though everything about it is awesome
The kickstand is made to "break off". So that isn't necessarily a problem if it comes off.

I highly recommend to get a screen protector immediately to prevent any scratches and docking the switch while looking from a top down view is great for docking
now thats money well spent.

I'm new to your channel but I just ordered my switch today from game stop can't wait to play it when it ships.
I love my Switch so far and Zelda of course. It is amazing and while playing I just found the atmosphere perfect to relax to, until you run into a guardian anyway.

I am very sad that the dock logo doesn't light up when I powered it on. It showed it in the first trailer but I guess Nintendo changed it up.
Just got mine today at Nintendo NY in New York. Spent a few hours in Mario Kart and a Few more in Arms.
BotW made me feel like a kid again. Nintendo has once again proven itself to not just deliver games, but a total experience. It's been something that has been lacking from other platforms for some time. I love my Switch, people stop by my desk at lunch to hammer out a Grand Prix in MK8.

Your description of the dock is inaccurate not only does it power the switch and project to a TV it also pushes the visuals from 720p to 1080p not criticizing just correcting the mistake

Would really love to hear your thoughts about BOTW and what you liked/didn’t like about the game? Personally I thought it was a magical masterpiece, very studio ghibli like and beautifully made. Easily one of the most calming games I’ve ever played too

Had the chance to buy one a few months ago but I passed. I got BOTW on Wii U instead and honestly I wasn't disappointed. And I only bought the Wii U for BOTW so that's the first time I've bought a console for one game lol
Honestly, my favorite thing about the switch is that I can have it docked and have a joycon in each hand. Finally my hands are not stuck in my lap with a controller they are free to move around like on PC
Well that and Zelda are my two favorite things because Zelda............is like really good.

The Nintendo Switch is not region locked, so you can buy one from another country, just change the language on setup

Switch worth buying? thinking of getting one
It's a decently powerful (considering it's size) handheld and home console. I recommend it if you're interested in BotW, Mario+rabbids: kingdom battle and Nintendo games in general.
The library isn't that great at the moment, though.

These come bundled with Mario kart 8, LOZ or arms for like $550 or $500 in Australia. Crazy expensive here especially considering my PC was $1000.

unfortunately the Switch isn't a home run, but it is definitely an improvement from the Nintendo we knew during the Wii U's life cycle
I love my switch but Nintendo really missed the mark with no Bluetooth connection :/ wireless headphones just seem perfect for the device, don't know why they didn't include it.
it may feel high quality now but give it a month and your joycons will start looking like the finish is fading, the console will get scratched like crazy due to the dock, and the joy cons will start coming off without having to press the release button
Holding out fine for me so far! I got a screen protector to stave off the scratches. To be fair, I don't use it heavily, most just for a bit before bed each night, or while travelling. I'd put the build quality on par with my 3DS XL, which is still rockin' after 5+ years.
Double AA Gaming I got mine day one. In fact hour one and have put in shocking amounts of time especially with skyrim and it's immaculate.
Can we have something like where people can send things in to you? (things to review, gifts, art, steam games, gear, equpiment, etc... ) I dunno if it could happen, I just think it'd be neat :]

Yeah, it's pretty expensive, and stock is difficult to come by. Maybe for next years' birthday!
i know it's an easy thing to say when you already have one but honestly once your done with zelda there is pretty much nothing to do. There are a few fun indie games and arms is alright i guess but nothing that must be played right now, i think that waiting for a price drop or a bundle with a game you want is the smart thing to do considering how ridiculously expansive everything related to the switch is.
