@Mark Warner the scheme doesn’t matter. Corner responsibilities on run plays are always outside-in. Funnel everything back inside, don’t let the back hit the sideline because the only person left would be the opposite side corner on an angle to try and save the TD. You learn this in Pop Warner.

@Mark Warner i agree just by watching film you may not be able to tell, but from a person who’s been in a huddle & who’s excited against those same scheme, as well as a variety of others at the highest level (HOF-er). It’s the same thing as a QB reading coverages. He didn’t get the Gold jacket from just watching my film, he actually had to know how they were playing him so he could execute his block or before he released for a route

I only played high school football and at the time, we, the offense studied defenses so we would know what they were doing. I wouldn't be able to tie Shannon's shoes. @@RadicalHippie 4-3 defenses are designed to funnel every running play to the middle LB. It's the job of the 4 lineman and 2 outside LBs to make sure nothing get outside and turn everything inside to the middle LB. Dallas fails that week after week. Setting the edge so to speak. RBs can't get there or you've failed your job as a 4-3.

Don't know about that analogy. If your manager doesn't schedule enough workers or don't put you in the best possible position to get the job done, your customers will suffer. If you are a cook and they ask you to bartend, you might make it through the night but the customer won't have the best experience. If you are a bartender and the manager doesn't stock the bar because the order wasn't placed, you are going to be limited what you can serve. I see this as both sides need some blame but the fans and the players just want to keep finding fault in the leadership. I do agree about Jerry being the enabler here more than anything and apparently these players are more like kids who will abuse a system like the one Jerry has created.

As an Eagles fan, even if we won the division with a losing record; I don't think we deserve to go to the playoffs nor do we deserve a home playoff game. They need to fix the playoff requirements. Make it so that if a division winner has a .500 or below record, then they miss the playoffs.
