Awesome! I immediately realized why my backhand is so bad! It’s my grip!

I watched several videos on backhands and this is the one that transformed my backhand which was incredibly weak. It’s now stronger than my forehand! Now I would looove a video on a forehand drive and don’t see one here. Could you please make one if you haven’t already?

This is one of the best and most concise videos on the backhand. It can help a lot of people quickly get on the right path.

The little I know, most instructors teach what you're saying about the continental grip for the backhand. For me, I find I have my index knuckle on the #1 side of the paddle, instead of the #2 side as in the continental grip. I may be wrong, but I believe I have much more power from that grip and I hit way more winners and take away more of opponents' time. Love your channel BTW.

You’re right. Connor doesn’t come from tennis so he doesn’t know this. You’re way ahead of him

How to hit close to the net though? This is like lifting. A banger would immediately kill such balls. How drive hard with backhand? I understand this might work well if I’m looking to drop. Please advice.

I wrote you a few days ago asking for this video. Never mind, I found it.

I don’t know if you realize it but you’re demonstrating an eastern backhand grip even though you said continental. You are swinging with a continental grip at the end when you’re hitting but just wanted to point that out.
Do you normally hit eastern grip? I do often see pros and advanced players use eastern grip to impart more topspin especially the ones with tennis backgrounds

Great video. Good job. Subscribed. I really appreciate that you were able to make fun of yourself with the directly counter. So many how to videos use the same word or phrase over and over and it's pretty annoying. You are able to turn it into something funny. thanks.
