- In this video we're going to be covering how to fix a kernel panic that has occurred on your Mac.
A kernel panic is a sign of a fatal error that has occurred on your mac and could
potentially lead to data loss. The causes of kernel panics could be very vast. They could be either:
a) Software related
b) Hardware related
Software could be something on your macOS, it could be an application that is installed or downloaded from somewhere or it could be something on the hardware. It could be your hard drive itself, it could be RAM, it could be the motherboard or logic board inside of the computer or something not playing well or failing or having an interference with something else could be one of the reasons that a kernel panic occurs.
It really depends on the severity of the kernel panic but sometimes just a simple reboot of your mac could get your mac starting up again so having one kernel panic is not a massive issue especially if you can reboot it and it's fine but if it happens more than once, be careful.
We would recommend backing up all of your data if it happens regularly. You're going to need to go and get some advice because you may get one fatal kernel panic that you will not be able to recover from.
There are a couple of screens that you just want to be aware of if you are encountering some sort of a kernel panic, it could be like a white screen or a gray screen.
Steps to fix Kernel Panic on Mac:

So is a kernal panic the same as a "panic cpu 6 caller: ... Mine went to sleep like normal and when I tried to wake it, neither the screen or backlight came on. I could hear the hard drive doing something. My audio interface kept powering on and off every 30 seconds or so. I unplugged it plugged it back in= same thing. pram reset = same thing. Unplugged it for 3 weeks and it came right back on no problem with the provided problem report.
That's a pro level... Thanks a lot man.. You just saved me a lot 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have used for McBook Pro late 2013... Clearing the nvram just did it. Thanks
I am having the same issue. But my wifi isn’t even able to connect at all. It can’t find wifi networks at all so I can’t even reinstall MacOS if I can’t connect to a network. What do I do ?
@@jeromemartins7362 try a USB wifi card.. Hope it will fix it for you
I have an imac and cannot reset anything that requires a keyboard because it will not connect.
I have a MacBook from 2006. It's reset and everything. For some reason when I put the WiFi password in correct, it gives me a kernel panic and I can't find the error in the log anywhere. Please help me. I've done all these things and they don't work for this one. No matter how I try to connect it to WiFi it does the same thing. But I know it works because I had connected it to a WiFi when I first got it a day ago when I thrifted it. I can't reinstall the os because it didn't come with the disk.
worth mentioning that M1 macs don't have an option to reset SMC and NVRAM... also with M1 it's a good idea to use apple configurator 2 if your system needs to be revived
My Macbook Pro have password. That's why I'm unable to push any command (example - NVRAM). Please help.
Any help I have this kernal panic issue? My macbook pro that's a 2020 model keeps restarting after 30 seconds and when it restarts a pink screen shows up quickly right after it shuts off and restarts back up again. Won't even allow me to connect to the internet
Olá, estou com o mesmo problema, como solucionou?

@@AsharMasood-jt8jx No my only option was to go to the Mac store to get my computer repaired
There is no create recovery drive option on your software.
I updated to MacOS Ventura public beta. But forgot to unplug my joystick. Now when I plug it in my Mac restarts and keeps rebooting.
Did you ever figure this out? I think I might have made this mistake with an external SSD drive connected. Whenever I connect it, it causes kernel panics..
haha, you can get one by going to the disc menu (restart then when black, hold option key then wait.) then go to Macintosh HD a few/30/40/50 seconds later.
Please don’t try this yourself, I caused one myself due to not knowing if EFI boot was windows 😅
