    Mimir: The red circle brother?
Kratos: Yes, whenever it appeared my enemies suffered greatly. Destruction and death were assured. Everything you can imagine from disembowelment, slamming a door into someone's head...
Mimir: I beg your pardon what...?
Kratos: Cutting off the heads of a multi headed dog, ripping out the soul of my uncle with his own chains, ripping out the eyeball of many cyclops'....
Mimir: Is there a reason these involve heads so much?
Kratos: The red circle had me impale a hydra's head on a sharp boat mast, I ripped off my half brother's head and used it as a lamp, I jabbed my other uncle's eyes out with my bare hands...
An Alarmed Freya: Did that ever happen and something good occur? That did not involve a mutilated head, body or shortened life?
Kratos: No. Each time the red circle appeared lives were ended, buildings and cities were destroyed. Hm...Does destroying women in bed count as good?
    Freya: Do you mean killed?
Kratos: I know what I said.

I remember in the gow comic based on after kratos became the god of war, he cast a spell that summoned the heat of the sun and used it to vaporize an island sized titan. And I would see him having the discipline but not the patience to want to sit down and learn it.
