How to Do An Extreme Makeover: Long to Short Men's Cut with Taper

- In this tutorial, MC Barber does an extreme makeover, turning long hair into a short, classic, men's haircut.
-0:35 MC begins with a 1 1/2 metal guard to remove bulk and create a foundation.
-2:11 Using Andis Trimmers, MC creates a shape up.
-3:04 Using a straight razor, MC sharpens the shape up.
-3:43 He begins his taper from 0.
-3:53 Moving to the side, MC uses a closed blade on Wahl clippers
-4:06 Returning to the nape, he uses an open blade, adjusting the lever when necessary.
-4:19 He uses a 1 plastic guard on Wahl clippers.
-4:36 Still using Wahl clippers, he uses a 1/2 plastic guard.
-5:30 To blend the sides, MC uses scissors over knuckles, then scissors over comb.
-6:00 Moving to the top of the head, he uses a straight edge razor to remove bulk and length while creating texture.
-7:37 Watch a quick blow dry/style.

First of all , the "so - called" stylist acted very unprofessional to me. He acted like he was making a sandwich at a deli ! Not all haircuts are just 1, 2 , 3 steps and done ! I thought the kid wanted it short on sides and back and long in front or atleast some bangs ! He has it all pushed back ! That's not what he wanted to begin with ! The stylist done made up his mind what he wanted to do and 1, 2, 3 it's over !!!! Not "COOL" IN MY BOOK !!!!

At age 18 a Marine barber took extreme pleasure in taking it off in about 2 minutes. Never thought about it since. Now im a old man who is bald.

Honestly I think he should’ve just been taken to a hairdresser for long hair to get help on styling and get the ends trimmed cause he on josh oh didn’t like it. He could’ve just got his curls more refreshed and pronounced and then learned certain ways to tie it up to play sports. I’m a little older than him but I also have long thick curly hair and play sports so I’ve learned how to efficiently tie it up and get it out of the way.

It's a good haircut. The kid has great hair, so that always helps. He didn't look too happy about it, though. Unlike tattoos, haircuts aren't permanent.
