Set up favorite video or sensory video on a phone or tablet while you cut. And let them suck a binky or something they like to fidget with that's easy to clean off after!

I’ve been cutting my husband’s hair for 6 years and I’ve always had trouble with blending his thick, pin-straight hair. I clicked this video because the boy in this video looks like he has a similar hair type to my husband. I have used this tutorial for the last 3 haircuts and love it!! This was the BEST tutorial I've used. I've cut my boys hair at home for years, usually just a buzz cut because I would get frustrated trying to blend the sides -- I'm not sure which of your tips clicked for me, but they were the best cuts I've done! Thanks for taking the time to share your craft.

Thank you for this! I have 3 boys and a husband who's hair I have always cut at home (not always the best haircuts lol), I have followed so many tutorials and yours was by far the easiest to follow! So easy that my 4 yr old who never wants to sit still actually wanted me to use the clippers on him! All 4 of my men look great!

Now, It's the third time I'm cutting my boys hair- it's going better each time. What was challenging was the levelling at the back of the head. And the first time my hand slipped-up in the middle of the head - top... unfortunately I had to shave all of his hair 😢😢😢😅😅😅😅 You live and learn.

Wow out of all of the haircutting tutorials I've watched this one is the best, by far! It makes so much sense. It's clear and easy to follow. My son also has sensory issues but I'm actually watching this so I can cut my husband's and my dad's hair so thanks for the video.

This is the first video, that was so easy to understand. I will be following this advice. Do you have a video for cowlicks. My oldest has a cowlick on the left side near his temple, and my youngest has one in the back of his head.
I have an older video that talks about it. Search Seancutshair crown and you should see it. The kid in the thumbnail has a very strong spiral crown growth pattern in the back

I'm 32 and watching for my 2nd self cut. First one was tough. Toughest part was scissor cutting the top. I'm definitely trying the clipper method you showed.

Love how you said you don’t have shears then cut his bangs with shears!😂 Had me confused for a sec. I always used to cut the top with clipper over finger technique when I was first learning to cut. Gave my grandpa #4 over my fingers directly on his scalp for the length he wanted.

I’ve just been issued the duty of cutting my sons hair. He just figured out I am a cosmetologist ( 38 years) and he wants short hair with flame colored bangs. Same idea just make sure that the crown is going where it wants to go before you start cutting. Make sure you leave it long enough and don’t cut too high with the clippers

Oh my gosh this was great! Getting my son down to get his haircut was always such a hassle it ended up almost wild before we could manage to make it down there. Doing it myself seemed to be the only solution to this problem. I am a complete and total novice, but when I cut his hair it was not the unmitigated disaster I thought it would be!
