The best Denzel impersonation. He captures subtle intonation, mannerisms and timing that other comedians just miss. I mean, Denzel impersonations come a dime a dozen. But this one just captures a certain spirit and authenticity that only a native New Yorker could capture. Afterall, Denzel is so big that folks forget that he's a real person at the end of the day. A real guy who's like millions of others around him...just more talented as an entertainer. This comedian gets it. Its like he isnt doing a "Denzel" impersonation with all its contrived stereotypes. He's doin an impersonation of a real person.
It goes to show the power of comedy. Currently, my sister has medication side effect full time paranoia and it's destroying our family, as she wakes us up in the middle of the night because she has become like a zombie. We need to get her professional care. Right Now I'm so fuckin exhausted. But watching this clip made me forget all that and it brought me joy.
