I am not at all perfect. People and even my own parents constantly keep on forcing me to be perfect. Bt I just ignore itđđ. I know I am real. And I don't need any certificate for thatđ€ đ€
Dayum, this hit me hard. Your question is actually very hard to answer, at least for me, but if I have to mention one thing I suppose I'd say I'm proud of being a somewhat quick-learner. Still struggling with perfectionism to this very day and I know it's unhealthy. It's easier said than done breaking free from it, but I think being aware of this is a great first step. If everyone could accept themselves for who they were, we'd probably have a lot less mental health issues. We should not improve ourselves because others told us to, but rather because we want to ourselves. The only one you can compare yourself to is yourself, though, that's just my take on it.

That's so true, we don't have to be perfect, but that perfection stops so many of us... For example, I always wanted to start posting on YT, but that perfection didn't allow me to do so, but fortunately, after a long time I grew enough to understand that it's not the way, and in order to fight that perfection, the first video that I've recorded is about accepting imperfection! And you know what? Even though the video is not perfect, I accept it, and I'm happy that finally I was able to do it!

I struggled with perfection but after a painful period in my life, and working on myself I realized, I will never get there and that's okay. I will be me unapologetically. I'm not fully there yet but I give myself to try.
My cousin passed away recently, and my Aunt told me something that I never would have thought about him. She told me that he used to hate the way that he looked, and I couldn't believe it, because I used to think he was so handsome... I had a hard time in school. They bullied me from 3rd grade-Junior year. They told me that I was a dog, and that no one could ever like me.. but I grew up, and they did start to like me, because I prayed to God that I would be like the ugly duckling and grow up into the beautiful swan. It doesn't matter now, but I'm grateful for the experience.. it pushes me to fight for anyone else that has to be treated less than because of appearance. One of the things that she said that he hated was his teeth... they're the same as mine, and even, yours, I noticed.. lol. Anyways, I appreciate your messages of hope, love, and kindness, with interesting facts as well. I've been writing my life story, and I hope to succeed in seeing it make a difference in the world. I use to think I was beautiful the way I was I thought I was perfect the way I was I was born with white spots around my face and arms I was chubbier then most girls my age my voice was deeper and I had scars all around my face because of how much I played around and got hurt but even with all those thing I thought I was perfect the way I was but over time people made me believe I was ugly I need to get lazer surgery to get ride of my spots I need to lose weight I need to change myself my appearance because no one who love me if I looked the way I did.....and now I hate the way I look and this video made me remember the feeling of loving myself the way I did back then :,) thank you even if it were for a few minutes that all I needed.

If we can't be our own "first responder" to bring support to ourself, we usually end up disappointed when we look to others (unless that "other" is Jesus or God, or our Holy Spirit! - - They are THE SOURCE of all perfection and stand ready to share with us the perfection we seek!) for support.

There ia a great messaage in this video. Dont be ahsamed and insecure of the things about you that you cant change. This isn't to be confused with don't fix the flaws you can fix about yourself. I'm an insecure avoidant love type. I can't feel comfortable with deep emtional connection and avoid it at all costs. But I can go talk to a therapist and try my hardest so that when I find someone who gives me that deep emotional love we all want, I don't shy away and break their heart. And if I'm skinny I can work out and get big. So always be proud to be who you are, flaws and all. But always work to improve yourself where you can.

You saved my life man. I try to watch this video every day. One thing I love is when you said don't worry about getting it right. I hate when society says if you're going to do something do it the right way instead of the wrong way. I have a friend who had potential to play d3 basketball but his father put way to much pressure on him. In fact his dad told the varsity coach while he was in 9th grade that when my son is in high school he's going to average 20 points. So it really effected his performance. Not that d3 to d2 is the highest level but it goes to show that our youth doesn't reach their full potential simply because of the judgement they fear. That's why more people need to see this. Cause like you said " we are all BEAUTIFUL!!!!" And that is a fact.

Before I didn't love myself for who I was. I was a different person I didn't have my voice to speak up... I only thought I was a failure that I wasn't important. I wrote a poem. And I said," I wish to be perfect, but the only thing perfect is *nothing*. Pefect isn't a word. Pefect defines nothing. We may never be perfect. Think as you may, you can always think unlike me. I am no where near anyone's standards of Perfect, but I am unordinary. Something better than perfect..*my own powerful being*.."
