A good way to test range and damage falloff is to carjack a pike in the EDZ or somewhere. You can shoot it to find your damage falloff and the tracker over the pike will tell you the range.
Yes And I think its Darci or Borealis that shows you how far the thing is you are aiming at in Meters. People been testing like that since God knows how long 😅

A good rule of thumb in any FPS is to keep your crosshair at a level where you expect your enemy's head to be.
Also, very good idea to get used to lower sensitivity so you can dial in your flick shot. If your sensitivity is too high flicking is very hard to master.
I improved dramatically in D2 in one season, because I had a shitty PC, but once I got a top of line rig, my old CS skills kicked in.
Also, a good idea to play custom games with someone who is close to your skill level, so you can actually know what it takes to kill someone, instead of getting slaughtered all day by people without understanding your damage output.
I also recommend modding your character specifically for the gun you are using. If you are new definitely use Target assist on your gun and gun dexterity.
Also, utilize your radar often, when turning a corner check if someone is there so you can pre-aim with your crosshair.
I was a steady FPS player for the early half of my teens, until my late teens, I stopped playing FPS until now I'm in the early 30s. My friends thought I sucked at FPS until I finally decided to upgrade my gaming rig, and I quickly became the best crucible player amongst them, when they have 6 years on me.
Personally, there are too many guns to choose from in the game, so I try to master a few guns at a time, like Gnawing Hunger and Dire Promise. Now I'm slowly moving into Ace Of Spades and Crimson.
I'm very active on finding God Rolls for my legendaries, I have an almost perfect god roll for gnawing and dire promise.
Everything in FPS is literally muscle memory, you can get good at it as long as you follow a science.
My PC is 7 years old and I cannot keep up with D2's bad optimisation... Really wanna see my CS skills to kick in too hehe
this is what breaks Destiny in my opinion, you're always going to be guaranteed the find the head at each corner cause the target's head levels have no height variations, each characters are all the same height

Adaptive and Precision
Range stat now has more impact on minimum damage falloff range for both archetypes.
Damage falloff for 100 range now starts at 25m, was 20m.

Thank you very much! This actually helped me quite a lot! I'm used to 180s and 140s and I just got the Igneous Hammer which is a 120. I do notice that I'm missing most of my shots with Igneous. But now with your wall advice and look at the red dot, my accuracy of my follow up shot became much better than before.

Hand cannons on console isn't good, 600 auto's dominate at the moment. Good thing auto's are getting adjusted in beyond!!
Yeah been using strictly ace for the past couple days. Basically if you miss a precision shot, autos will destroy you.
Autos are still gonna be a top tier option though

I use hcs all the time on console and I dominate. Dires was my go to but now I use sunshot, ace, thorn, kindled and old fashioned

Same, the recoil and presition are bar un some situations like 1vs 1 all times you die un the second shot
Hand canons in one word consistency
Idk how it is on PC.... but on console recoil direction is unpredictable! It’s like different every time you fire it! I especially notice it with ace of spades and really any SMG

Actually looking at the reticle has helped a lot but I'm so used to following the recoil instead and it's really difficult to form the habit of following the reticle, especially when under pressure in pvp
I cant say how many times my heavy knife saved me from shotgun apes since i run dire promise (handcannon in case you dont know) and Ikelos sn (sniper as you probably know)
Its helped so many times in elimination when im last left against 3 others
Show me how to track and strafe with a 110. Thats all i use and its so hard since its slow and unstable recoil wise.

Ace has some weird kick/ recoil on console. I can't seem to get used to it. Stability is everything on HCs. My Nation of Beasts has really high stability and feels really good. Same with Austringer.
Use dire promise. If need be, put targeting adjustor on any hand cannon you have.

If youre having real trouble still and want to get it done before the end of the season crimson works for the precision kills and i feel is more forgiving. Granted you need crimson
Yeah.. Was a tough one for me too as I play pc with controller. I switched between crimson and trust. Fight together with your team and try to pick off low health enemies

I honestly don't really recommend people use the wall method. Better to straight to pve in high enemy areas. Reason being is that you're more likely to get correct judgements on reticle placement while shooting fast. Also for controller users. Proper aim technique helps, you do majority of the aiming on left stick then adj on right. This helps keep your shots on point so you're not swiping around a lot. Going cover to cover helps you with missed shots. It adds ttk to your enemies kill time and allows you to miss a shot or two. Handcannons are extremely unforgiving and that's why autos are so dominant.
Hi, i like use last word and other energetic hand cannon, i know its not a full competitive combo but is pretty fun whit the lucky pants, yet still need to improve my skill whit hand cannon if u have some advice, that would be greeat 😤😂
As of lately I’ve had a lot of trouble using hand cannons and when brave said that I had to pay attention to the radical not get tunnel vision I didn’t understand it until today and so now I’m doing a lot better and I’m hitting most of my shots and it feel like my gun has no recoil

Update I don’t know if it’s my inability to shoot a hand cannon correctly but for some reason whenever I use the hawkmoon I can’t have my shots I don’t know what it is it’s weird and no matter what I do I can hear my shots can somebody explain or help me out.

Bow with quick access sling. Hit with a bow, switch, finish with eriana. TTK around 0.5 seconds

I keep hearing to peak shoot. But it's not as easy because the people I've been up against aren't exactly fighting me with primaries. A 3 shot hand cannon vs any weapon that ohk doesn't end well. The weapon I've seen the most is lorentz driver. It's annoying to say the least. Maybe it's my positioning and lack of awareness but still it's annoying.

Your gameplay looks like your flying
One of the most important tips you forgot to mention is you absolutely have to hold the hand cannon in your right hand. This increases your chance to hit by 200%. Most people hold it in their left hand. Nope this is wrong. Also make sure you shoot the enemy with your bullets. If you don't shoot the enemy with your bullets they won't die. That's another big tip for you guys. Double make sure you eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast before shooting your enemy with hand cannons cuz it increases your damage by 50%. 75% if it's lucky charms cereal. Console just has bad bloom, that's why pc has better control then console
Well technically it’s my bad bloom. It’s how the FOV is. Since PC you can have a 105 FOV and PS4 has 80. It’s a huge difference on kick.
But new consoles can have a much wider FOV which is great IMO
