A fade blade works best on skin fades, it cuts closer so it helps blend a zero to a one. A taper blade works best for blending, or on fades where you don’t come down to zero.
Fading and blending it means the same thing ._.
You can take out any line if you have two clippers, you use one to fade, and the other to blend the skinline.

Can i use 2 same clippers? One with taper blade and one with fade. My vision is: use the Fade blade clipper for 0 and 0 open. After this step is done i want to use the taper for the rest of the fade. Can i do this? Or the fade blade will cut too close to skin and i make the job harder for the taper blade afterwards???😢
Ive been a barber for 30 years and in my opinion the best blade is the wahl precision blade that comes in the cheap wahl products because is a in between the fade and the taper blade but barbers dont like it only because it comes in cheap products but wahl wanted the best blade to come in the home products because they wanted the best cut for people that doesn't know how to cut if thisakes sense!! It tales the bald line from the shavers like nothing

I've been researching interesting combos with blades and this one stands out bro. I've also heard using the master taper blade with the SC/Gamma gold cutting blade is 🔥 but still ha I've to try it out.
I have and use both but I prefer the taper blade. Top blades that I use. Wahl Taper 1006, Babyliss Taper, SC Fusion and Andis Master Taper blade. The babyliss wedge blade is ok. Thanks for the info, Reggie! You’re the man ✊🏾

Wedge blade is the truth. Before getting the lo pros I was strictly taper blade and detailing with fusion blade, now I don’t have to use anything else but the wedge blade because it does it all !

Started barbering moons ago, used Andis fade blades then. Not realizing there was a difference, could never see myself using taper blades.
Nice explanations. I learned how to cut hair on a fade blade so I still tend to gravitate towards that. Once I was more experienced is when I actually started using a taper blade. Now it really is preference between the two depending on what type of cut I’m doing with which blade I will use

I used a taper blade for 20+ years. Went all cordless and everything has fade blades.. honestly didn’t even notice a difference. I guess if you can cut any blade works honestly..

Thank you. I have never known the difference and I’ve been cutting hair 20 years- just bought a cordless fade blade- I need to do a demonstration for a new employer. Was nervous about using the new ones. Cuts my dogs hair fine lol. Manager wants to see how I handle my tools so I’m not sure..

I cut my own hair non barber..1 1/2 on top and zero to shave fade on sides..after my old wahler clipper gave out, I bought a new one and couldnt fade out the line…now i know why..the fade blade is less forgiving
That fusion blade is thr best of both worlds because it won't snag. The longer teeth grabs hair better than the fade blade. My preference is the taper or fusion depending on finess of hair. I use the fade blade to detail hard lines that won't come out.
use fade blade to gain skills. taper is much more forgiving, but it's holding you back

Ill be honest.. most veteran barbers will get this..
So if you cutting a bigger dude with a “pack of hot dogs” behind hid head, and your a new barber you can slice open that pack of hotdogs.. be carefully especially how these newby barbers need to zero gap everything.. that can turn into a bad situation real quick.

u should use andis master taper blade. This one is closer than jrl taper blade.

Hi, nice video, i am a barber for 30 years and own a shop. I’ve been using wahl clippers all my life and recently moved to stylecraft instinct and i love them. It comes with a faper blade. I find it snags easily on skin. I might not be used to it. I received today a taper blade from Stylecraft. I tried it today and i prefer it over the faper. I wonder what the difference is between the faper and the fade blade… any thoughts ? Thanks in advance.
The Faper blade is just a combo blade. It falls right in between taper and fade blades, it's a combination blade

Bro taper blade all day. It is just so much more smooth and forgiving. Wedge blade sucks! I got a taper blade on a magic clip and that thing hits perfect!!
Have you hd experience with the fusion/faper? If so how was it?
@Marcus de Luna I do have experience with the faper blade. I have a lopro fx clipper with the faper blade and it cuts nice. I would say it cuts a lot like a fade blade though.
Could you do a clipper vs. Clipper series. I really want to see if I should get the mythic or the rebels.

What’s you’re opinion on a faper blades ?
How do you feel about the balding blade from Wahl? I like to use that to set my initial bald guidelines instead of my trimmers. Cuts slightly closer than the fade blade, but can be easily removed with fade blade lever closed. Throw one on an older cordless clipper you aren’t using anymore. I’ve got mine on the cordless Legends.
It’s not bad but if you move just a little too quick it snags bad. I much prefer to use my 00000 detachable blade to bald out bulk

Yep same, got the blade on my magics, much better to use an old clipper that way then burn out your trimmers blades
@@TitoCutsTampaBay would love to have the Andis Supra with the 00000 it’s just a pricey bit of kit if your only using it for that. Maybe one day I will justify it 😂
@@polskat6226 I guess if it’s balding only you just have to do the math and see how many times you’ll have to buy a 40 dollar trimmer blade and divide that up. I only paid 150 for a used Pair of Supra zr, actually pulse zr it came with a 10 blade since it’s a dog clipper. I bought the 00000 for like 30 bucks. 180 divided by 40. Then I bought all the other blades over time and learned to fade with them and save time

Does anyone care for the Wahl 5 Star Wedge blade that come on the Legend???
Only comparisons I ever hear about are the Fade blade Taper and Faper which the majority of clippers use blades that are based off of the Wahl Models and platform excluding Andis and Oster.
To which the Still Blade teeth depth and blade thickness of most Wahl blades are pretty much similar.
No other blades ever truly resemble the teeth depth of the Wahl 5 Star Wedge.
The only blade that truly does resemble it is the Wahl Fade STD blade but the teeth are shorter and that blade comes on the Cordless Magic Clip and Corded/Cordless Senior (Not Talking about the moving cutter blade)!!!
The Babyliss Wedge blade takes after in all honesty the Wahl Precision Home Cutting Blade which in reality is similar to the Andis and Oster's Taper blades especially in Thickness minus the taper blade grooves.
SC , Caliber and other After market blades have wider teeth that resemble the openings of the taper blade but,
I barely hear anyone other that Ron Legend barely discuss the differences between any other blades in regards to the Wedge Blade. And I mean barely other than the association of the Lever extension.
I'm not talking shit or complaining just asking honestly.
