    So glad I bought a 2 hole curved blade for my magic clip.
    Made my fades so much easier, and quicker. The constant and natural scooping motion with the curved blade just gives me the confidence that the line will be easily removed when I open/close the lever and/or switch guards.
    Thanks for this vid.

      @DoritosResidue Před 6 lety

      William M that is what I did. I ordered the Wahl super taper blade from Amazon and put it on one of my magic clips. Works beautifully. I still think the fast feeds along with the Andis ceramic fade cut my hair softer . Fast feed and Andis cutting blades are perfect for coarse Asian hair, the teeth are spread more apart compared to wahls.

    • @DavidFalla
      @DavidFalla  Před 6 lety

      That’s very true about the fast feeds but nothing beats the convenience of cordless clippers

      @Nav R1 .does wider teeth cause you to have to do more passes? Does andis make a staggered cutting blade like the wahl magic?
      I was kinda set on getting a fade angled blade with the staggered cutting teeth but the idea of a clipper that does better thicker hair makes sense.
      Would wider teeth also produce a different finished look? I have looked for this info but just saw wider makes it pass easier for thick or wet hair

    if i open the fade blade for half inch guideline then the taper blade another half above it, is will be a a different like you use a guard or it will be like you use one blade and open it 1 inch?, what the fade blade cuttin length and the taper blade cutting length?

    • @DavidFalla
      @DavidFalla  Před 6 lety +1

      Hello and it all depends if the blades are set form factory or not, also some blades open more than others. The fade blade cuts closer than the curve blade due to its surgical design. Both blades without a guard are in the Zeros so hard to tell you the exact measurement since we are talking about mm.

    Thanks for the great video! Very helpful. I was considering either the Magic Clip or the Sterling. What are your thoughts on the cutting blades? Do you feel like you get better results with the crunch blade on the Magic Clip? If i were to put a taper blade on the Magic Clip, I wonder how it would compare to the Sterling since they would be pretty much the same other than the cutting blade.

      Fade blade aka standard blade, STD blade, wedge blade, flat blade, surgical blade. It's just a more narrower decline toward the blade. Makes it easier for some to knock out that foiled out bald line because of the narrower tip.

      Hey man, I've been cutting for just around 18 months now so I'm still fairly new to everything. However, my 4 month old cordless Magic Clips now spark at the switch and short. Considering how much they cost, this shouldn't be happening after such a short period of time. I regularly clean my blades and internals so it's not like they aren't well looked after. I'm not the first person I've known who's encountered issues with the cordless Magic clip either. Personally, I prefer cordless Super tapers, they run the same motor as the cordless Magic clip (Wahl will even tell you this themselves) and I tend to play around with a crunch blade on them rather than the taper blade. Best off just finding what works for you. Good luck anyway, hope this helps your decision in some way.

    I’m barely starting and I was wondering if the taper blade would be good enough/sharp enough to blend in the zero to bald?

    • @hectoralaniz1715
      @hectoralaniz1715 Před 5 lety +1

      They're the same, as long as the machine is 0 gapped.

      No

    • @justbelieve215
      @justbelieve215 Před 5 lety +1

      Not unless u know how to ZERO gap the blades, and even then they are not the same and the flat blade is easier to take the shortest lines on a skin fade

    What type of blade do u recommend for beginners I have the magic clip cordless and I’m thinking about buying the Andis envy li cordless just don’t know what would be better ?

    • @DavidFalla

      I recommend a curved bevel blade for beginners. The Andis Envy li is great and remember that there isn’t a better machine. It all depends of what you like
