One of the best Christmas presents from my parents. A left over 1976 CR125M. One of the most reliable dirt bikes known to mankind, you couldn’t kill it. By 1981 it just sat in my cellar with a worn sprocket, broken tensioner and in desperate need of a rebuild. In 1983 I sold it for a $100. Those were the most carefree, happy years of my life. Thank you for the video.

Here from Leon, but man old 70's dirt bikes bring back a lot of memories. My friend's father was a certified Ossa mechanic and went to enduro races when I was just a kid in the 70's and early 80's. 1980 he had a new Husqvarna 430 with a metal tank. Wish I could go back in time.

I love this! I had a 1976 CR125 that I loved and cherished, until I met a girl. Sadly, I had to sell it to pay for my Junior prom in 1980. I wish I still had it though. The girl is long gone, by my desire for my old bike is still strong. My Africa Twin will have to suffice for now.

No real regrets. The RM was a great bike but NO top end speed! Found out later on that it had a rev limiter. It ran forever tho. swanky Yeah that was the first start up after the restore,... notice the chain is not connected either on that shot. I tightened nuts and installed chain before I rode it.

      Brady, Absolutely Incredible Work.
*** There are always people that have to find something Minuscule to post TO make themselves seem like they know what they are doing or talking about BUT wouldn’t have the 1st Clue where to start trying to restore a Vintage Bike back to Original, near Showroom Condition.
Yep, I am talking to U Swanky and your side kick follower Greer.
Really? Chain Tension Screw is Loose?
      Hilarious

My father bought me a 77 CR125 back in about 81 or so. I was a tall kid at 11 or 12, but that was WAY too much bike for a beginner. I'm lucky I didn't get killed on that thing! lol

I had one of these when I was a young teen...it was green and silver though...I'm thinking it was a '75....I bought mine for $160, it didn't have rear brakes, so I learned to downshift at every stop....it had the same grass fire starter exhaust pipe though

i had a 78 also, had to be a good rider to keep that motor singing, it a narrow, peaky powerband. i also had a 78 rm 125 and i found it much easier to ride fast because the engine had a much wider and more torquey motor compared to the cr

Yeah you are so right,… the power is like a light switch, either on or off. I’m surprised it took Honda so long to update their 125. Adding a reed cage definitely made a huge difference.
