How to Enable Video Bypass on Pioneer NEX Units

This is for AVIC units only. Not others. It does not work on the NEX 4100. Sorry.
No wires required! Here's a quick how to guide that will show you how to bypass the video and navigation restrictions on most Pioneer AVIC units. This simple 15 second trick enables the bypass so you can watch video, input navigation directions and more without messing with any wires, or grounding the park break. This works for most Pioneer AVIC NEX units. Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX, 7100NEX, 5100NEX, and even the 7000, and 8000.

Hey Mr Cory G - I want to thank you for posting this. I changed out the old ignition cylinder in my '03 Tacoma recently, and since then my AVH-4400NEX has been giving me that stupid message. Automotive wiring is not my strong suit, and I didn't remember damaging any connections while putting in the cylinder - so I figured I'd have to pay someone to diagnose it and fix it. But I found this video posted in TacomaWorld and it worked! Thanks a Million Sir!

I have an avh 4200nex and am wondering if there is anyway to bypass the no more than 6 taps. it's a nuisance even using Spotify and I can't get to all my artists
