  • In this video I will show you how to remove dried water base paint from stained trim, doors, and carpet. This process also works on painted trim and doors or stained cabinets or painted cabinets as long as they have been previously painted or polyurethaned with an oil base finish. Please note that denatured alcohol will remove dried water base paint from any surface so always try a test spot first. If the area you test gets dull or gummy, then this method will not work without damaging the surface. Never pour denatured alcohol right onto the carpet or the carpet backing could release causing damage to the carpet. Always put the denatured alcohol on your rag first.

Thank you! I paid a painter that cut-in too far on wood window sills and now I have to go remove all the over run 😢 woke up 3:30am stressed about getting it removed.

Thank you, I'm not a fan of painting but it's extremely disheartening when you try and do a great job only to have a few painting overruns, thank you!!

I just moved into my new house, and the previous owners painted the stair rails with water over acrylic paint. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I've tried cleaning it, and it just got stickier. I'm going to get Denatured Alcohol now and cleaning it for good! Thanks so much for your informative video!
