2 Teens Take Police On High Speed Chase After Stealing Two Cars & Hitting Three Police Officers

- Two people are in custody after reportedly stealing two vehicles that hit three cruisers and leading police on a chase through Columbus that ended near South Franklinton.
A police dispatcher said that Whitehall police were alerted just after 1:15 p.m. to a report of two people stealing a car. The City of Whitehall said that cameras alerted Whitehall PD to the stolen vehicle taken from an aggravated robbery in Columbus. Whitehall PD requested assistance from Columbus police. The suspects led Columbus police on a chase with the initial stolen car and then got out and stole another vehicle, according to a dispatcher. A police dispatcher said that three cruisers were hit by the suspects - two at Franklin Heights High School and one head-on at the intersection of Clime Road and River Bend Road. A fourth cruiser ran into something during the chase, but was not hit by the suspects.

Great ad for the Hyundai Elantra. Usually the police vehicles handle these PIIT manoeuvres quite efficiently. This subcompact gave the Arkansas State Troopers a little stress. In the end, the good guys won. Such reckless driving, especially through the construction 🚧 zone.

We’re glad to have Columbus Police Department in Ohio. The state highway patrol of Ohio aren’t like ASP. they are domesticated cats and won’t even pit you even if shot at them.
They communicate better and will stage an area with stopsticks. Or they will stop the chase and show up at your house and arrest you
