Hello, future Ka-BIO! Yes, it’s normal. ☺️ Sa school where I graduated ng SHS, there were 5th graders na nag-frog dissection din. 🐸
didn't have a chance to dissect a frog in our GenZoology 😭 because of the pandemic.
awwe :( yun pa naman ang highlight ng first year 😅 but meron pa dissections sa Systematics and CVA, don't worry! pero kami rin eh, no chance to dissect a cat sa CVA namin this sem because of the pandemic. 😅

Incoming 2nd year bio student po ako, I also didn't experience to dissect a frog, na take na din po ang gen zoo and systematics lahat lectures di nakaexperience ng physical lab huhu

hello! better to ask nalang your prof siguro for his/her references sa lectures niya and then download mo nalang yung e-book version. 😊 we didn't have books kasi na provided ng school namin and we based lang sa lectures ng prof. 😅

Do you recommend studying biology there in dhvsu ?
Hello! There are ups and downs sa bio ss school namin nung batch namin. We had little 'actual' laboratory time sa ibang subjects namin because the machines in our labs were either uncalibrated or wala talaga. Pero for the coming years, I believe magkakaroon na dahil na grant na yung request for more lab tools, machines, and equipments.
For the upside naman ng bio sa dhvsu, magagaling ang professors (in my opinion ha) namin lalo na sa major subject kaya I think ok naman pagdating sa theoretical. :)
Ilang math subject po meron sa BS BIO? Hanggang 4th year po ba meron?
hi! parang dalawa lang yung math sub namin, isang gen math tapos isang statbio. depends sa curriculum ng school pero kami, we took the maths noong first - second yr yata. :)

Napadaan po ako sa vlog niyo. Since aspiring medical doctor po haha. Mairecommend niyo po ba sa akin ang Nursing? gusto ko din po sana Bs Bio. Kaso nursing po ako pumasa sa admissions. Batangas State U po ang napasahan ko na school. Ok po ba Nursing at malaki po ba chance maadmit sa medical school?

Glad to help! :) About sa group activities, yes meron and madami during face to face classes. Pero ngayon na online classes, meron pa rin naman. 😊

hello ate, maraming bang research sa bio? and puro research paper ba ang pinapagawa? nasa 2nd year palang ako but i realize na ayoko talaga na magbasa ng mga journals. For us kasi puro nalang theories and concepts ang tinuturo. walang tumatatak sa isip ko. i feel like for me gusto ng practical learning. siguro narin hindi nakakatulong na nasa online learning setup tayo hays. planning to shift eh
hello!! yes eh, madaming research sa bio. other than the researches na pinapasubmit ng mga ibang prof, meron din subject mismo na thesis. sa curriculum namin, 3 semesters yata ang thesis namin. and yes, totoo yan. for me din mas feel ko ang practical learning. mas na-absorb ko ang info kapag ginagawa talaga siyang actual rather than concepts. :((
if willing ka mag shift, i suggest sa medtech and nursing :)

Nasagot niya na po yan dito sa comment section :) this pandemic daw po, ibe-base po yung qualifications sa grades niyo po nung shs, at least 85 po ata as far as i know po hehe

Hello po, sana mapansin, ask lang po kung ano ang possible na job na makuha with a bs biology degree but not as a premed course. Most importantly, in a realistic setting kasi nga parang hindi common ang ganitong degree o anything related sa biology na trabaho dito sa Pilipinas, pero gusto ko parin magpursue. Sana mapansin po, kasi may nakita akong comment sa isang website (nakalimutan ko) na BS biology graduate sya pero nagcall center kasi nga d daw common sa PH😢
Hindi nmn ibig sabihin na d maganda magtrabaho in a call center, ayaw ko lang, kasi d ko kayang magtrabaho sa gabi hanggang madaling araw. Pero kung wla akong choice, edi magcall center na din😅
hi! as a graduating bs bio student, i admit it na mahirap nga makahanap ng job fit for it. kasi madalas, if hospital or medical setting, ang hanap nila eh licensed. more on pharmacist, chemist, medtechs, etc. there are jobs, yes, pero hindi sobrang dami. i suggest apply ka sa quality assurance na field. mostly sa mga kakilala ko kasi balak nilang mag med talaga after grad. :)
+ ang alam ko pwede ka mag take ng exam para maging registered microbiologist, basta ma-meet mo yung required units nila yata. :)
@@withlovelouisee oki poo, salamatt sa replyy😁, balak ko sanang magshift to bs biology kaya ko na tanong, pero taposin ko nalang ang bsba kasi sayang ang year at pera, naging "importante makapagtapos" na yung mindset ko😅, salamat pa rin hehhe😁

Hello! Sorry wala ako masyado alam about MedBio, but I'll try siguro. Ang alam ko is, same lang sa BS BIO but specialization yung MedBio I think? 😅

hi! sorry for the late response. GAS ang tinake kong strand noong shs. i was actually planning to take bs psych pero sadly, wala nang available slot for me. bs bio was available kaya i have researched a bit about it, and ended up sa course na to. :)

Hello, yes pwede. Depende lang sa university na papasukan mo. Kasi yung ibang universities, hindi pa sila nag o-offer ng tracking/major. :))

can bsn shift to bio without no problems?
hello! yup, bsn students can shift to bio. i am not familiar with the subjects sa bsn but magkakaprob lang naman if magkaiba sila kasi you have to take them if magshift ka to bs bio. pero if na take mo na ang subject sa bsn (with the same course code and description sa bs bio subjects), pwede naman mag shift nang hindi bumabalik sa first year. :)

yes, bs bio students can shift to bsn :)) di magkakaprob if meron na same ang subjects kasi maccredit naman, but if different talaga ang curriculum, then uulitin mo yung program if magshishift ka to bsn.

Hello! Opo siguro if sa private school nag aaral. Pero sa case ko po, sa state university po ako nag aaral kaya wala po kaming binabayaran na tuition and other fees. ☺️

hello!! madaming e-books sa libgen. ☺️ kami kasi, since nung 1st year, wala kaming ginamit na specific bio books kasi yung materials talaga eh galing sa professors namin. 😅

Meron bang entrance exam po tska magkano po tuition?
@@johnabordo4105 yes po, merong entrance exam. pero this (current) school year po because of the pandemic, wala pong exam, nag base po ang dhvsu sa grades ng applicants. wala pong tuition fee and fees sa dhvsu kasi state university po siya. :)
