    While at the junk yard I found some Mopar, Dodge, and Jeep guys who also suffered from AMATEUR HOUR

    New belt for $22 or a used belt for $5! You were puckered on the trip up but a used $5 belt will cure that? Spend the cash and drive unpuckered. Just my thought on buying a used belt. A bad idea from the ground up.

    At 2:10, your upper rad hose is swollen. Hose can rot from the inside out. Squeeze it on the end, if it feels soft, it's internally rotted, and can blow. Hoses can look perfectly fine from the outside, but be junk inside.

    In Maryland you put duct tape over the rust because that’s what you need to do to pass inspection. They use a paper towel and if it catches on the rust then it has to be repaired or covered. So duct tape passes the safety inspection.

    I picked up a set of 4 almost new Cooper Trendsetter all season tires and wheels at the pick a part last Saturday for $140 with all the center caps too for my 87 Ranger....can't beat the price, looked up the tires online and they're $90/ea, so hell I got free wheels and center caps and tires for about 1/4 of the price of new tires LOL. They'll go on the truck when I wear out the Nokian tires that are on it...I assume they're supposed to be snow tires but they aren't studdable so I'll finish wearing them out then throw the other wheels and tires on it. Still have to finish repainting it, maybe with the weather cooling down next week I'll start tackling that....then decided that instead of the midnight blue along the bottom of the sides of the truck I'm going to go with black, so it matches the bumpers, then the rest will be plain white. Can't wait to get it all painted up, then maybe I can see about tackling the cracked dash issue...yeah typical Ford problem I guess every Ranger and Bronco 2 I've had and have seen have cracked dashes LOL.
    That 98 ZJ 5.9L Is exactly like all the ones I find here in Idaho, beat to crap and interiors destroyed....someday I hope to find one in good enough condition to buy, I'd love to have one, sadly being a one year only model it makes them harder to find, I see the ZJ's all the time with the 5.2L (318's) and they're usually all in about the same beat to hell condition too. People here just destroy stuff it seems.
    Same yard twice in one day, sounds like my Saturday. I saw those wheels & tires and thought well I'd love to have them but didn't have enough money with me....drove 35 miles back home, sat around for a bit and thought about it, grabbed some money from the savings and went and grabbed them, those 14" wheels and tires are getting harder to find, especially in the design that I got which are exactly like these center caps and all....www.wheelsandcaps.com/Ford-Ranger-1988_p-18833-aluminum-alloy-wheel-rim-14x6-1592.aspx?variantid=18833&ref=g-pla&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIu7fPsLK36wIVxRd9Ch3l9QGXEAQYAiABEgJrLPD_BwE

      Yeah they’re super sought after and they go for a big chunk of change nowadays. My suggestion, next time you find one, DON’T SELL IT...Either buy a ZJ to put it on or put it on Barney 👌😂.

    • @DEInTheGarage
      @DEInTheGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      That is probably true. I imagine the studs would be too long if they are worn down at all
