- Toyota Corolla CROSS Hybrid 2024 has just being launched in Pakistan in 2 variants i.e. Corolla Cross Hybrid & Hybrid X. In this review, we have the top of the line, Hybrid X variant with us.
Let's start with the pricing in Pakistan. The launching price of both Corolla Cross are mentioned below.
1. Corolla Cross Hybrid : 9,399,000 PKR (ex-factory).
2. Corolla Cross Hybrid X: 9,849,000 PKR (ex-factory).
In this review, we have decided to compare its size with Kia Sportage and see how much of a difference there is between the 2. Moreover, we have also tested it acceleration from 0-100 KM/H & quartermile as well. Being a Hybrid, Corolla Cross is expected to have great fuel economy, in our testing, the car gave around 18 KM/L with a heavy foot on normal octane fuel. Its fuel tank has a capacity of 36 Litres.
We have also shared our detailed verdict about Corolla Cross Hybrid after comparing it with other crossover SUVs available in Pakistan, including the Haval H6 HEV and Kia Sportage.

Best review of Toyota Cross I have seen so far with the right comparison with Sportage.
100,000% agreed on pricing comment. Cross doesn't justify its huge price difference to Sportage and Tucson that too with the compromised space inside. Even with a decade old interior design of Sportage, I would still consider Sportage over Toyota Cross.

Only the average factor is a win, we went out of city almost 350kms+ on motorway and it gave a good fuel average. It saves a lot of money considering petrol price fluctuations because we never know how the price will vary now. But i also have to agree that it was expensive but it is still a good option considering fuel consumption and resale value and “Toyota” hallmark
Imo this car would sell like crazy. Also, despite the fact that its costlier than sportage and tucson, this car wouldn’t make you loose money while reselling which sportage and tucson would (for sure). The reliability that comes with Toyota badge definitely has its worth.

Again, the Kia Sportage shown in this video is quite old. If you want a fair comparison, compare a 2024 Sportage to a 2024 Corolla Cross. Also, stop being such a brand snob. Kia ranked in the top three on the J.D. Power Dependability rating, while Toyota ranked around four or five.
And you really can't compare a Sportage to a Corolla Cross. They aren't meant for the same segment. If you compare these two, the Sportage is miles ahead of this car in every possible way; even the sibling Tucson is better in every way.

I love Corolla Cross! Test drive was done in Karachi and I feel that for a hybrid vehicle, it is priced fairly especially when Haval is 12m around. Make in Pakistan for life!

You need to take into consideration the plethora of features that are missing such as adaptive cruise control, independent suspension, lack of 360 degree camera, rear camera without dynamic guidelines, lack of auto parking feature, rear leg room, 600ltr vs. 487ltr boot space, lack of driver seat lumbar support, lack of electric passenger seat adjustment, 19inch vs 17inch alloys, lack of wireless charger, lack of auto brake hold, lack of electronic parking brake, lack of panoramic sun roof, lack of LED in-cabin lights and Local General Tyres!!! etc. These features truly justify the price difference of Haval H6 HEV.

What are your impressions on the Cvt aka Continuously variable transmission , noice of the vehicle , Hybrid vehicles with cvt like the Insight make quiet a lot of noise which is annoying when trying to catch power , and since this car also has local tyres paired instead of imported , overpriced ? , yes.
I think Toyota cross is more reliable then any other hybrid vehicles & it's price is also reasonable as compares to Haval or prius .

Agreed that price difference is too much and it does not make much of economical sense to prefer it over Sportage/Tucson (unless your daily mileage is 100 km+ per day)

@@CovertPhilosopher i feel like it has a smaller fuel tank, i havent personally driven it but yes i feel like seats are less spacious and they could have done a better job. but besides that its a great car! we have travelled twice on motorway to another city and the fuel consumption isnt that much either so its a great car

No smartness like Toyota logo can compensate for it - so before buying think twice - final choice is always yours -!!
main problem is with battery, so how many kms and years warranty given for battery separately and for car. i check thialand and other international it is 8 years or 160,000 kms for batteries and 5 years for car.
Toyota pakistan also gives a warranty of 5 years ig but from what I've heard, they're using an obsolete battery technology so I do have my doubts regarding the hit the fuel average will take after a few years

I'm honestly impressed and neutral on this car , but how did u not notice this car has Ambient Lighting which is sort of a big given feture aka *Shashka* , this locally manufacture vehicle seems more towards international standards spec which I like , 9:59

I was waiting forthis car for a long time as a replacement for my Sportage. I took the test drive of the vehicle and was impressed by its smoothness and acceleration however cabin space was a let down. This car feels congested if compared with other rivals. Sportage cabin is much more roomier than cross. Non the less it’s a great buy in 10 million budget, just for the Toyota badge, reliability, dealership network and affordable PARTS.
Personally my opinion is shifting towards h6 hev, it is definitely more expensive but the car feels expansive as well. I think H6 HE. Would be a proper upgrade if coming from Sportage. What do you guys suggest?
Haval H6 HEV is undoubtedly a great car as well. As you mentioned, Toyota has an advantage of being more reliable and a bigger 3S dealership network in Pakistan.
Haval has a lithium Ion battery as opposed to a NiMH Nickel magnnese cobalt hydrate on Toyota Cross which is obsolete technology in the hybrid EV world. It has a shorter life and loses charge sitting idle, deal breaker for me
Haval HEV is the sleekiest SUV right now. Front grill hi paisay purey krdeti hai, and interior reesembles range rover. Sportage k baad wohi logical next upgrade hai. Cross is good as a hybrid lekin sportage jitni solid ni hai quality feel wise.
@@BBOverDrive if one wants to keep the car for more then 2.5-3 years then cross is the one otherwise Haval is the best option if one will keep it for less then 3 years. At current I still wouldn’t won’t to own a Chinese vehicle for more then 3 years from new, especially one with batteries

Haha Chinese batteries power 70-80% of the world brother. Toyota is a nobody on batteries. The EV market is heavily dominated by China and Chinese companies, even Tesla Mercedes BMW are still dependent on CATL BYD, Gotion, CALB, Sunwoda all top ten battery firms

I prefer toyota specially in Pakistan. we have seen here all korean cars after 100k or 150k the performance and average go down as compare to toyota. Powertrain reliability is a septrate issue.@@BBOverDrive

I would pick Corolla Cross over every other competitors in the market because of the toyota promise of quality. Cross > Sportage
I have Honda city 1.2L cvt , MashAllah, it gives 16km/litre average within city, in islamabad. It is manually tested avg, on meter cluster it shows 16.9km/litre.
inshallah one day you will grow rich and can drive a nice 2 liter fast car
Overall it is a good addition to the crossovers but I am not impressed by the acceleration considering it's a hybrid car.

According to me I don't know
I took test drive of Corolla Cross twice and liked its build quality. However (1) road noise from tyres is too much after 60km speed. Whoever buys it needs to change tyres immediately & its its tyre size available in another brands is rare in market. Dunlop costs 40k per tyre. No Yokohoma or other brands available in this size. (2) cabin insulation is poor & you can hear sound of every passing bike and cars (3) engine noise is excessive when you try to push the vehicle to gain speed (4) in rear seats, total sitting capacity is of 2 person, its squeezed width wise.(5) Its suspension was like Yaris, frankly, speaking as I have one. I was expecting better ride experience.
Price is 10 million, so it should all facilities in it where as not the same .
Secondly, new technology should take time for their further perfection . So overall, it needs to further time modifications ,road grip in our roads and environments

Toyota is far superior. I drove a Sportage for 1 year and took a test drive of the Corolla Cross. I am impressed by the car. It is also spacious, despite what was being said.
Now compare the Kia Sportage 2023 and see if the Corolla Cross comes even 1% close! Plus, Kia is Americas' most reliable mass producing company, so can't complain about reliability here either!

Imo Haval will be the only survivor from all the new car companies launched in last 5 years .the reason is they're very serious about their business model from the beginning and also they wants to manufacture cars locally which is honestly good for local vendors and clients .there will be a drop of 10 to 17 % in prices by Haval once they able to do that and keeps their profits and reasonable levels . Indus ,atlas and suzuki literally ripped off people with their exuberant profitability.

Regardless of the points mentioned, i still recommend corolla cross for the csuv seekers because of toyota quality, looks, safety and the fuel efficiency of the car. Cant rely on Sportage, Haval, etc.

Pakwheels claiming the power of this car is 196 HP which they mentioned in their every video. With a little research we got to know that its the power of 2.0 ltr engine. I have no idea why would they drop their pants especially when it's about Toyota
No one is talking about its batteries, they are not using lithium ion batteries, which is its biggest disappointment.
No one is mentioning the fact that this might be an underpowered crossover since even with hybrid motor it only makes a mear 134 bhp and 172 torque. Like seriously Toyota??? Haval HEV makes 240 bhp for God sake! I know that's a turbo but come on this would be a very sluggish car! Even MG, Sportage and Tucson has more power! Disappointment.
