I Am The City, You Owe Me One, Just Like That, Cassandra, Under Attack & The Day Before You Came were recorded in 1982 during the sessions for their unfinished 9th album.
True! They are considered part of the 'The Visitors' album since the deluxe version was released!
They are not considered part of the "The Visitors"-album because real fans talk about the original albums. The 1982 tracks have absolutely nothting to do with The Visitors.@@AbbaVideosCZcams
They were so close to finishing that album
@@mgbchoralmusic6443yes unfortunately the demo tapes were stolen from Bjorn's car. Some songs were offered to other projects.

Wow like an Angel passed through my Room, die Version 1 von Frida ist bezaubernd.❤️
So good!
I would like to know what treasures are still in the drawers that haven't been published yet, but that also shows what incredible geniuses they are.
Compared to today, this is a completely different level
Love Hovas Vittne and Tivedshambo ❤❤❤❤
I wish Hovas Vittne had been released with english lyrics as an Abba song!!
"Hovas vittne" is a smash hit! What an awesome tune. Imagine if it were released as an official ABBA song. 👌
"Tivedshambo" was actually composed by Stikkan Anderson, at least he is credited for it.
It sounds like they used snippets of Hovas Vittne in Merano (from Chess)!
In my opinion The Visitors is one of the best pop albums ever released. And if some of these out takes would have made it to
the album making it into a double album it would have been the absolute best of ALL.
One of their best, no doubt about it!
Yes, I think it was their greatest achievement too. And I just can't escape the incredible fact that the masterpiece "The day before you came", my favourite Abba track if I have to pick one, was the last song they ever recorded - before Voyage 40 years later that is!
So impressive!
I had heard the Angel Passing Through My Room versions before but had not heard the others, and now can't get Hovas Vittne out of my head (I don't speak a lick of Swedish). I am also fascinated with this rough draft of Two For The Price of One, a song I barely tolerated on the Visitors album. But this rendition has more relevance and interest to me..."Sometimes I wished I had a ... knife." Woah. I could also discern Benny's singing here. I always thought he was faking it in the live performances with the mic so far from him and it looked like he was just phoning it in, but he really sings. Also TFTPOO (nice initials) sounds a little like an incel dude is singing it. I remain under impressed with Just Like That. Under Attack sounds really cool in this version. Thanks for posting this.
I loved your comment! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Hovas Vittne has me GAGGED. It feels like Chess meets a forgotten Arrival Era B-Side. I love it.
They should have done an english version!
@@AbbaVideosCZcams Well... Frida & Agnetha's singing is so passionate and playful that I'm not sure it would be the same in English. I am in Quebec and one time when listening on the radio, heard a song in French that was so good and pretty that I needed to know who had sung it. Turns out it was Celine Dion. Who has a great voice, but not one I go out of my way to listen to. Different in her native tongue!
Love these out takes, to hear the workings before the finished polished songs.....would love to have all these on vinyl record
At least you have them here!
Thank you for sharing these rarities! I feel like I managed to send myself back to 1981 joining ABBA at the recording studio... Excited.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another Morning is probably the closest we normal humans will get to what Frida sounded live and direct without a lot of production, rehearsals, just singing a first test.
Absolutely!
Yes and it was wonderful! I wish we had more like that, I thought they did over produce at times when the ladies' voices were good enough without all that messing about!
I swear I could listen to Frida sing for days. ❤
What a wonderful little idea. For me, anything like this is extremely interesting to hear. 😄
Thanks, enjoy!
Wooowwww excelente ❤️🙌 gracias, thank you
Saludos 🤗
Some interesting out takes here although Just Like That and Under Attack weren't even writen during the recording of The Visitors and hail from the final original ABBA year of 1982.
That's right! When I say 'The Visitors' I'm referring to that era, not really to the album. Nice outtakes indeed!
All the "love" for "Just Like That" over the years - what about the criminally under appreciated "Givin' A Little More"? Crying out for a full version!!!!!!!!
That song is really catchy!!
@@AbbaVideosCZcams Agree, I also imagine how the song would sound with Agnetha's high harmony, while Frida is the lead singer.
So sad that the girls didn't record it!
It doesn't work for me! I prefer "Just like that "
Omg. This is so rare! ❤
It is! I love this era!
@@AbbaVideosCZcams I totally agree. 80-81 they peaked
Great to see you back! Hoping the channel does not get nerfed this time... also hoping for the harmonies and hidden vocals videos to be back!!!
Thank you!! Sadly the harmonies and hidden vocals videos can not be uploaded on CZcams, what a pity!
It is a pity I showed that video to family and friends and they were amazed with how much was buried in the ABBA songs. Could you make the videos available on other platform like Facebook or Dailymotion?@@AbbaVideosCZcams
For the moment I have no plans on opening other social media. However, if you want those videos I could send them to you via e-mail!
Tudo relacionado ao ABBA é maravilhoso , ficamos honrado em houvir , parabéns pela postagem .
Well said ,ABBA was incredible with Music in every way. We were Blessed to experience and enjoy their feel good Music of Love and joy to the World. ❤@@juvenalcarvalho6728
ABBA me trae tantos recuerdos de mi mamá, ella escuchaba todas las versiones en español en especial Chiquitita ❤❤❤. Aqui cantan "Se me está escapando" en español 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
Qué bonito!
This is wonderful
I love their music!
Ah, thank you 😊
Nationalsång = Anthem (instrumental). Wonderful!
That's it!
I do regret I sold my copy of Hovas Vittne😢 I am the seeker and Burning my bridges was also in 81.
Tivedshambo is a trad.
Thank you for this post❤
A copy of Hovas Vittne, how rare!!
@@AbbaVideosCZcams I still have Sång till Görel though. Are you a collector too?
Sadly I'm not, but I would love it!
Burning My Bridges was recorded in 1980 during the sessions for the Super Trouper album
Yes!
Wonderful🙂
26:12 Is a fantastic version of this track.
The piano is sublime. It should have been incorporated in to the final mix.
That version is beautiful 😍
Omg, anyone know when / how was all this released? I thought I'd heard all of ABBA's outtakes but this is all new to me! and sounds incredible.❤
Samme stil som da de var "Festfolket"😍
👍👍👍❤
Pity that Two For The Price Of One didn’t stay an outtake… it’s definitely the low point of the album. Should I Laugh Or Cry should have been on the original album (it ended up being the B side of One Of Us) but that would have given Frida one more song than Agnetha, so I’d say that’s why Björn got the album track.
I could not agree more! Should I Laugh or Cry is so much better in every way.
I think Should I Laugh Or Cry fits the album better, but I love Two For The Price Of One as well!
@@AbbaVideosCZcamsOh well, each to their own!.. I usually just skip it because I find it jarring. Should I... fits in perfectly after The Visitors. It's interesting on Voyage that they didn't worry about Frida having the first three in a row.
Agree, definately think Should I Laugh Or Cry should’ve been on The Visitors album instead of Two For The Price Of One, fitting in with it’s dark, more mature theme..
Frida had one more lead on the previous album, Super Trouper, so it wasn't always 50/50.
The first 4 songs have nothing to do with the "The Visitors" recording sessions, as they were recorded for other purposes.
I know, but were recorded during that era, that's why they're here!
