Kinda sucks that LLM can't really be done on just one machine, aka computer. What doesn't suck is that the imaging and even audio can be.

@@lavatr8322 Actually a severe legal issue in the US in respects to copyright. Even in just respects to the training data being used for LLM. Boils down to machines being unable to copyright anything currently. Which in turn creates funding issues as far as monetizing anything being produced by ML/AI. Also boils down to the content creators not being paid for their work when it's used in training data. Something most people haven't given a single thought to. Not sure where I stand on this myself as this is a bit complicated, and my personal opinion on it doesn't really matter in respects to what will eventually happen with it.

yes to you - but to the content creators it does.
Why? if LLM use their data (eg artwork) to train an LLM then everyone uses the LLM to create artwork similar enough to by pass the original content creator, who then loses any advantage & monetary benefit from owning selling renting licencing royalties not to mention copyright on style & content.
In a generation (few months actually) LLM will be the artist & human creativity will be sidelined to minority.
the beginning of the end...art speaks to you...people look at art for inspiration...they then get messages from some ASI ...messages not what one could call good for you. thats how u take over a society without firing a bullet but by stealth. Its not as far fetched...think LLM that write articles book whole programmes including news movies & music.

I noticed that you have the book Make it Stick on your desk. How do you recommend applying the learning techniques it talks about to learning Python. Currently going through Python Crash Course.
I'm studying VERY hard in order to pursue a role of a sysadmin. That's my dream job. I would really appreciate if there is someone who is in this field or who knows enough about it that can tell me am I wasting my time doing this due to the rise of AI and would it be better for me to spend that time learning how to cook. my best friend is a sysadmin. Incorporate it into your work and find ways to "solve" people's problems. There is an abundance of it, you just gotta be aware of them.
We're on the ground floor of this tech, no one knows the opportunities that will arise out of the adoption of AI into our society, but if you have a tech background, as it sounds like you do, you'll be able to jump into one of those branches of opportunitiy or even create your own.

I just took this course and now my brain hurts. I did not learn how to make my prompts better with this, It was just literally knowledge that looked like math which IS NOT how my brain works at all.
I am coming up on a 28 year pension at my job. I wanna leave and learn something new. My expertise was in photography but I didn't do that for 28 years. I worked in a union office. I need to move on and this is the direction I want to move into because I know this is the wave we are heading. I am older so I hope I can embark on something soon. Because I really want to learn about this.

Ok. Did the courses. The content was not great mostly trying to teach you terminology and not how to do anything. Then at the end there is a lab where maybe you can learn something useful but they throw a paywall in your face for google cloud. Move along, nothing to see here.
How do I become a python programmer? I have no experience in programing
You don't need much programming to work with AI. It is not very hard to learn programming. A couple of days of any Python course on the internet and you will be programming some things. The difficulty comes in getting good at programming. Think of learning English - anybody can learn a couple of phrases and basic words in a couple of days but to talk at near-native level can take decades of repeat work. Python is mainly a loading program for Tensorflow or PyTorch which often in turn have high level software that can do the boring stuff for you e.g. OpenAi for PyTorch. They hard part is simply clearing enough time on your schedule - two or three hour stints at a time are better.
