Andi takes a first look at the new YT IZZO an effective trail weapon designed for riders wanting a capable, lightweight bike that they can pedal all day or thrash in the woods. The IZZO has 130mm of front and rear wheel travel, a full carbon frame, 29in wheels and weighs as little as 12Kg. - Sport
This just made my new bike decision even harder. I really like this!
It's a nice one :D
Me too man, lots of great choices (mine are YT, Commencal, Guerrilla Gravity, Canyon, and Whyte).
What's the other bikes you have in mind? :)
Hi can the rockshox lockout be connected to the forks for full lock-out? i know the twistlok have twin cable capacity but are the forks suitable?
I can't wait to see how it works in the enduro world.
It doesn't. It's not an enduro.
riding a xc with flats? my man right here knows what's good👌👌👌👌👏👏
Ordered my Izzo Comp, supposedly they'll have it June 10. I want it so badly.
How is it?
Just went I could shorten my bike wish list to 1 (the Ripley). Looks like Izzo it will be finally :)
That's if they don't sell out like usual
Î’m not worried, I can wait if needed. Worst case scenario I end up with a boutique brand bike! Hahah ;)
Have you experienced any rear tyre buzz on the seatstays? I saw a review saying that the back end was flexy enough to cause contact, which is a little concerning, but it was only one review, as far as I can find.
My next bike
I just demo the trek top fuel and this one looks pretty much the same. Even the sram lock system.
Great Review!! I bet a pike or even a 36 could make this a 1 bike quiver killer for most riders..
I've been wondering the same thing. Another 20mm on the front and it could handle just about anything
Hey, where were the riding clips filmed? Doesn't look like anywhere in Britain.
Those riding shots are all from YT. I gather they were shot in Germany.
Looks like my remedy, I like it.
Looks like Canyon Spectral 2016 but with 29" wheels
That's pretty. I wish it comes with 27.5 option. My Ripmo is my 29ner trail bike
Transition Scout
Same thing I was think I have a Specialized RockHopper Comp 1X 29" trail bike. I need a 27.5 Trail bike
Scott bike has twinloc. B4 yt did the same.
😮🤘🏻
Is there two different models? The Itzo and the Izzo?
😂 nope, I had just been chatting with the guys at YT who pronounce the Izzo ITZO it must have stuck 😂
I think YT will make the next Capra and Jeffsy in this frame configuration, just with mid to longer travel numbers. The rear lock-out is clever! The Canyon Strive is in the running as well for bikes to choose from.
I agree and I like it...Also most manufactures are moving the shock position lower down next to the BB. I think it looks cleaner and it's to get that weight down lower obviously.
Looks sharp !!
maybe nextyear hehe, they need a more space for the bottle cage
@@Peanutdenver ...less pedal bob, smaller bump compliance and room for a water bottle!...oh,and cool name!
This looks so identical to my Trek Remedy 9.
🚲yt🥰
Great review, could tell you were stoked on the bike. How tall is the reviewer, if you don't mind me asking? I'm 5'10" and constantly find myself between sizes, but have recently started thinking about sizing down from large to medium, as reach and wheelbase numbers have grown.
Roman S if you’re thinking about doing YT I would say the large would fit well. I got my Capra 3 weeks ago and was a little nervous myself because I went from 27+ to a 29er and I’m 5’10 as well. But everything feels great on it, I feel super comfortable with anything, climbing, downhill and even jumping it.
Hi, I'm 178cm and would normally ride the large, but to be fair I've really enjoyed how playful the medium has been.
I have a exact same dilemma so interested to read you went for Medium. Did you notice any downside to that? Did it ever fell cramped or uncomfortable on longer rides?
@@singletrack Hi, great review! Keep it up! I'm considering ordering the Izzo but I don't know what size. I'm in between sizes, I'm 5'11/180cm. A YT employee suggested a size Large but my XC bike is a Medium. How did the M handle in the downhill and have you ridden a size L as well?
What chance of an aluminium version of this do you think?
Very little, it's meant for a crowd who like to save weight.
Help, YT Izzo Comp or Canyon Neuron 8.0?
I have Neuron 7...I love my bike.. 100% trail, flow, fun... But I would prefer remote control for suspension....
What about 100kg (220lbs) of riders weight. Is this bike OK for so heavy riders?
I don't know if there is a weight max for the frame but I can speak with YT about this.
@@singletrack I have already this info, thx. It is 120kg of total weight (bike + rider + cargo). The same apllies to Canyon Neuron (120kg of total weight)
You can always turn off the motor-pedal assist 0 or 1 on mine is without assist and I can get better fit!
front & rear shock lockout wise, Dangerholm does it better. 😅
Same Jeffsy geo, just 34 fork 🤐
Nice bike but it needs a Fox 40
haha yup :D
Great bike, shame the warranty cover is completely terrible. #avoid
Every part of that bike is beautiful like a Katana blade.
Except for that...
...hideous lower mount for rear shock!? 🤮
Looks like a massive afterthought 🤫
Makes it look like an eeb
Nice sales video but where is the talk about it's design and fit? All you have spoken about in this video that everyone else is saying it's not that good at and you've said it excels at them, easier to lift up than an e-bike, yeah, not surprised but that's like saying my this frying pan I'm testing fried better than my pressure cooker or my new size 6 girlfriend is easier to lift up than my old one that got fat, bit of a bullshit first look if you ask me as you've done nothing to speak about the suspension design, geometry or even compare it to the Jeffsy which would have been a proper first look.
You’re standing in the middle of a forest......alone, talking about the pandemic? I like hearing what you have to say about the bike but I’m having a hard time with the pandemic part. Makes me think you are simply a follower.
You aren't a 'follower' then Tim?
Done with the "pandemic"? 😁
Another Trek lol
k
Another troll...
okay you can absolutely NOT climb as fast on the izzo as you can on an ebike. that is just complete and utter horseshit imo. wow. you can maybe keep up for 10 seconds but no more than that.................................
May as well just buy a hardtail. Cheaper, less maintenance, lighter, just as capable.
