Practical work Paleontology L2 - Cephalopods (by Mme Ruault-Djerrab)

This video is intended for students in the common core of Geology, or any other interested public (high school students for example). It explains in a very simple way how to identify the fossils belonging to the Cephalopods (Invertebrate-type animals, from the branch of the Molluscs). A captioned diagram is commented, and several examples of significant specimens are described. Three groups of Cephalopods are presented: the Nautiloids, the Belemnitoids and finally the Ammonoids. In this last group, the Ammonites (which disappeared at the end of the Cretaceous) constitute particularly important stratigraphic fossils.
The audio commentary is complemented by written comments that provide more details.
This video was put online as part of the 2nd year Paleontology practical work of the STU License at the University of Guelma in Algeria (Teacher: Ms. Ruault-Djerrab).
