This video really helpful! Thank alot!
thanks, it boosted my performance 10 fps more! make more videos like this. Cool man!
The settings made my second monitor revert back to its highest native resolution. Thanks so much!
Was having a few problems with gaming performance after a recent GTX 1060 update. The settings shown in this video completely solved my issue, and my Asus Rog GL502VM is running better than ever. Thank You!
Thanks for sharing these hints & tips!
i love you bro, my GPU stopped working and this helped so much :)
did it really
@@peterfitopoulos765 no it donot
The guy has no idea what's he talking about here.
1. Trilineral Optimizations actually improves performance, so if u want better performance u want it ON, not OFF
2. Why would anyone disable Threaded Optimization, again it improves performance in most of newer games, if you got some 4/6/8... core CPU.
3. Nobody even uses PhysX so it's kinda irellevant.
These people should do the research first and than also explain why you change the stuff you do, not just hey click this and than that, and it will be awesome.
This vid is basically useless. And there is so many out there that I had to reply.
could u maybe provide screenshots of ur optimal settings? i would highly appreciate that ^^
Hey, after reading your comment I decided to check over every single setting individually. Glad I did, feel much more satisfied with my settings now than what the video provided. Though would be nice to see what you would consider optimal settings! :)
Agreed. Pretty much all those configs with "optimization" in the name will improve performance somehow. The one that gave a bigger difference in performance (personal case) here was the Texture Filtering.
im a noob but his settings might be good for fps games, your settings might look better but might not be as good for online games hence why people opt for high refresh rate monitors instead of 2k 4k models
please give me your optimal setting brother
What Are The Settings If I Have Dual Graphic With Intel UHD 630 And Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650? I Am Trying To Screen Record But The Video Lags Can You Please Help?
wow i never see that full range ! thank you .
That background is so nice.
Not bad... no explanations given for any of the settings, so 2 key things to change here (and reasons) are:
1) set POWER MANAGEMENT to ADAPTIVE
2) set V-SYNC to ADAPTIVE
Reasons:
1) otherwise the card never clocks down, it will consume a bunch of extra power and be super hot on idle and your gpu fans will always be on!
2) w/ adaptive mode v-sync is only on while gpu can render more frames than your monitor can support (ie: locks in at a maximum of 60, 120 etc.), and off entirely when below that threshold.
@wh@cks it's all on the nvidia control panel. Set your power management to adaptive instead of max performance. Same with your vertical sync, it should be on the lower part.
@wh@cks you just click apply and it should be all good. I didn't restart mine and I saw the difference already. But if you're still not satisfied, you can restart it to see if it made any difference.
@wh@cks if you're only referring to these two settings, my card didn't heat up even after long periods of gaming. It stayed relatively warm. And my game feels smoother than it used to be. The other settings on the video especially with these two settings made my games ruqn smoother. I don't know exactly how much of an fps bump it made but it sure is easier for me to pop some heads on csgo.
Im guessing only on overclocked gpu it happens.
or better you can create a custom profile just for your application/games in the side menu that only apply as long as you have that game up and running instead of doing global settings.
Thanks mate!! Works well on me!!
this made an instant difference with my 1060 3gb. liked and subbed!!
Ur lying
thank you, i messed around with my Nvidia settings and all browsers were showing pixelated, i followed your settings and im all back to normal after saving and restarted my computer. thnx
Yeah the samething has been happening to me, I have narrowed it down to when ever I mess with the settings to try and get more of a boost from the GPU for gaming, I was thinking that something was going on with either an audio driver, or my wireless card as it only affected browsers but eventually came to the conclusion you did..
I do not how ever know exactly which setting in the control panel is the responsuible one and my web searches have yielded little to no information on that, so if you or anyone that sees this knows which setting directly or is a major contributing factor indirectly please let us know, thank you for your time
or just press restore defaults button.
pretty good video.
that was helpful.
thanks
and keep up the good work
thanks man youre awesome my pc looked amazing thanks to you
1 sub and like for you :)
these settings helped so much!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Thanks for the tips. It helped me a lot. Btw which game were you playing at last?
Hey man, how are you? the game was "Tom Clancy's ghost recon wildlands" Just get it and you won't regret. Thank you.
Thanks for making another great video. Which GPU should you select for OpenGL Rendering if you're running 2 but not in SLI or if SLI isn't supported?
Do i need SLI for OpenGL or no?
You don't specifically need SLI to use OpenGL on a single GPU. If you have 2 of them, then yes, you'd need SLI software to use OpenGL with both graphics cards.

Windows and games are beatiful now. More vivid colors!
I have a 60Hz monitor so I chose fastsync in Vertical Syncronization setting.
Thank you, Geeks Tutorial.
ikr my game are really beatful now i change some of ther settigns he did cus i dont want my pc heating that much so i only change one thing but other then that i love what everthings looks
keep in mind that turning power managment mode to perfer maximum performance will make ur gpu use more power when ur not doing anything hence u will see more heat on ur gpu
Ammar Alraisi
Use it in the program settings to choose I individual programs. When you shut down said program everything will return to normal.
Carnie Style does it really make a different ..?
Ammar Alraisi
You can leave it on max performance and when you close the program your card will down clock normally so yeah. I only go through the trouble for games I play a lot
Ammar Alraisi so then should i do anything in this video the guy talked about
use ADAPTIVE guys
omg thank you no lag now and no drop fps ty
Thanks this actually worked
Dude it really worked for me i was getting 45 fps now i am not getting less than 60
Thanks bro
in your nvidia control panel, try turning on threaded optimization (this video says turn off), n see if this improves your results. also turn on "texture filtering - trilinear optimization" (again this video says turn it off), then load up your game and see if it improves your results...... both of these options help boost FPS and performance, so im not sure why this video tells you to turn it off. It will not hurt to try this, because you can always turn both of these options off again... but i promise you, these 2 things in the video this guy got wrong, everything else in the video is great n works, n is prob why you increased to 60fps, but im sure you will even get better results by fixing these two things
Nice
i didnt have 3 .apply the following settings in change resolution
Many thanks for the settings. The display is way better
Thanks for the help really appreciate it
Indeed, that's true. 👍🏻
I have nvidia on few machines, so tweaking is part of passion of learning. 😊❤
So it is not visible just for gaming mode but for complex video editings as well.
Some small tweaks boost video smoothness.
Well done! Thank you! 👍🏻👍🏻
Keep up great work. 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Pleasure is all mine!
Keep learning me lady.

Geeks Tutorial Thank you for your response , cant wait 😊
AnassRedDead yeah buy a new one
.
you have 2 options: 1) cripple the settings: ultra low w/ lowest resolution
2) buy a GPU
secret options #3) don't buy a macbook
Why performance and not high performance for the Texture filtering - Quality?
Elijah L. Because it make the surface kind of weird and in performance it's pretty smooth surface
Elijah L. But for more fps you can choose High performance
Elijah L. High performance is worst looking graphic wise. Performance is enough you don't want it to not looking good
Cause it'll push your GPU and processor to its limit, and will probably fry your GPU after 3-4 hours of intense gaming
bro i did exactly what you said and my monitor looks so much better ur a genius

Reinstall your nvidia drivers but before uninstall old drivers
I hate computers. Was working well until the second half. I have an nvidia control panel like that, but only with the 3 "3d" link/nodes on the left, and not the other 9.
And Even those, in PhysX when I change the dropdown to prefer nvidia 1060, the green graphic (on his screen 3:23 on the bottom edge), points to my intel 640, not the nvidia.
Maybe my driver's out of date, so I will follow Dell and Nvidia's instructions: click the "Help" tab up then click on -- whoops; mine doesn't have an option to "update".
There isn't enough info on the web for me to possibly determine to what degree, if to any, these graphic shortcomings, if there are any, affect the performance of VR.
I do wish it were working better though.
Anyone know even how to tell whether my drivers are up to date or can offer hypotheses about what else may be hurting my frame rate? (brand new computer).
I have nvidia driver version 388.12 on the dell inspiron 7577 1060 max-q, FWIW
Sorry to hear that. Just go to, Control panel then go to Uninstall Program, Now find and uninstall both your Nvidia and Intel Graphics drivers. as well as you can uninstall those drivers (display drivers) from Device manager as well. once you have done all that, restart your PC then go to nvidia.com then find driver tab, and once you are there you can fill your card details and get the latest driver, or use this: goo.gl/QxC1f link and it will scan your computer and auto detect the card you have installed and provided you an appropriate driver. from there on follow the instruction and install the new driver. Once everything seems good, then you can proceed the Optimization following the video. Thank you.
What.. - are you some sort of genius? Did you go to graphics card school or something
I'm going to give this a try, thanks for the help.
I do want to say however that I just read that the dell inspiron 7577, it is important _not_ to use the nvidia drivers, but only to use those from dell. Haven't found those yet -- is there a way just to check to see if it's up to date before uninstalling everything?
Which card Nvidia card are you running! can you give me the exact model name/number?
The best voice for explanation like (great scott)
