    You can send any engine to a machine shop and they can build it to take that kind of pressure and beyond

    So the coservative level is 420-450, if not the only level the 2.7L can be at without grenading the pistons. If one wants to sustain 500+ into 600+ pistons HAVE to be swapped.

      Exactly. I’d say the limit would be around 480 crank hp and stay right there. If you go above that you risking it.

    Hey, its unfortunate that had to happen to you and I know that you aren't planning on making the content you were with the 2.7, but I personally like your videos and would be happy to see what you do on your new 3.5 Ecoboost. I have a 2023 F150 with the 2.7 as a daily driver and I absolutely love it, just wish there was more of an aftermarket for it.

    Dang! Sorry to hear that about your truck, mine is still going strong at 125k. I’m surprised it lasted for quite some time for what it was going trough. I just hope that wasn’t your daily driver!

    Damn bro I have mine in shop it's a 2017 2.7 f150 my first I'm 2.300 away from 125.000 extended warranty to be done I did a oil change like 2 months back the techs found oil seeping from oil pan I got lucky there was a recall on oil pan upgrade and new valve covers after it got fixed I noticed a coolant smell warming up and seen the reservoir low I filled back up to full a day or 2 later I noticed it's going Hella low I called dealer and I told them whats up they called me next day after techs inspected they found coolant in n cylinder 2 and he gave me the answer the following week warranty is getting me a new engine still waiting on update when they get it and installed I asked what's Warranty on new motor it's 3years or unlimited miles whichever comes first so roadtrips and I'm hoping she lasts me longer and later if motor breaks I'm thinking of upgrading the motor to 3.5 or 5 .0 coyote motor make her into a sleeper

      Well, I was at 600hp for a year and a half. It held quite a while.

    Seems you hit the limit of the 2.7L. What stage turbos did you have from CRP? Also, how many miles did you have on the motor? Sorry man, that sucks.

      I had custom Stage 5 turbos and they were from Turbobay Performance. Truck had 96,000 miles.

      Nah, 3.5 is stout, and comes with turbos from the factory that are capable of 700hp. 5.0 would cost tons of money to make it as fast as what the 3.5 can do from the factory with just tune and a few bolt ons.

      @@BoostKingMatt true. I remember my dad had a 2016 with the 3.5 and took it to a shop and they plugged a laptop in and $500 bucks later he got to 460 hp, at the crank tho not wheels

      @alexanderarvat Ah yeah. The 2013-2016 stock turbos weren’t very big, but they could make around 470 at the wheel on ethanol.
