    The last defector interviewed Kim Hyuck was also interviewed as well as many other defectors with amazing stories about their struggles in the book "Nothing to Envy". Anyone interested in North Korea should definetly read it. It's worth it.

    @valeatukka There is also a Korea-association in Finland that promotes the Juche ideology and regularly receives visitors from North Korea. I just can't comprehend at all how one could delude oneself so much as to think that DPRK isn't the largest prison camp in the world.

    It as part 3. The full piece it in two parts, each of which had to split for CZcams upload. So while this is part 1 of the second broadcast it is part 3 of the full piece.

    I did not once stereotype the people. In fact, I explicitly said the problem is the Government. There is still a lot of evil in North Korea and I cry for the people. They're so oppressed and they do not know how bad they're getting it. It makes me sick to my stomach.

    If a country doesn't allowed itself to be helped or get helped. That country is a PRIDEFUL country because every nations needs one another to survive! It's a shame how these leaders think for their own country and allowing their people to suffered!

    The reality here is like domestic dispute hostage situation. An abusive husband holds his wife & children hostage & threatens to kill them. He knows that if he surrenders & lets everyone live, he will be arrested & never get out of prison. He prefers to die & out of spite, he desires to kill his family. The NK gov't can't give up b/c the reckoning would be too horrible for them.

    It is very normal compared to some countries know to invade and use violation against country who choice DIFFERS. Yes, DEFECTORS have economic hardship and being poorly educated is one, but you cannot stereotype the entire NoKor based on defectors. That would be stereotyping a entirely nation based on homeless people's hardship.

Don t believe they have the technology to develop much with that abysmal isolation they have put themselves in.

    For if leisure and security were enjoyed by all alike, the great mass of human beings who are normally stupefied by poverty would become literate and would learn to think for themselves; and when once they had done this, they would sooner or later realize that the privileged minority had no function, and they would sweep it away. In the long run, hierarchical society was only possible on a basis of poverty and ignorance.-----1984, Orwell

  • @fireice2037
    @fireice2037 Před 12 lety

    If you are taught nothing except for what you are told. What do you expect to know about anything outside of what is put into your head. It is another way they keep the public subdued. They feed them lies and they have no choice except to believe. You do not know what they have to live like. It is truely sad. This is another reason korean unification needs to happen sooner rather then later. But "dear leader" has to kick the bucket first.

    First of all, north koreas diplomats have diplomatic status so they can t be prosecuted, but in Stockholm, where Nokor maintains an embassy, the swedish governments almost yearly expells nokor dilomats for drugdealing and smuggling..thats how the regime survives, and Sweden doesn t impose any information ban or travel bann on North Korea..of course north korean peasents can t go to Stockholm for holiday. You talk about Nokor, not western peoples, they travel freely and inform themselves.

    Security of NoKor people trumps before personal view of non-NoKor citizen about NoKor. You choice for NoKor does not matters. Their choice to protect themselves against who is strange enough to know what is right for NoKor when they don't even live there. There is NO evidence that your country human right is better than NoKor. People are people; you are not smarter than them, and they are not smarter than you.

  • @klee4
    @klee4 Před 12 lety

    Here is simple. North Korean family loves their children as much as you do. And they don't like to be threaten with nukes which USA has. Democracy is for everyone in the world...if it is OK for you to do....then you cannot deny that to NoKor. Democracy is Equal Right for every country and their citizen. Once you DICTATE other what they cannot do, you don't know the true meaning nor care for real democracy. Also stop stereotyping the NoKor population. You should have learn that.

  • @bsp1148

    @94981745 We together can certainly change NK. The question is how desperate are we to change NK. In the meanwhile, we just watch on the atrocity in NK and millions are suffering. NK won't change its evil ways unless we stop them.

    What North koreans would go to the US for tourism??? and the Nokor government isn t interested in any outside information filtering into their country and to their citizens. Nokor has itself proven to be a lousy trading partner so no credit or business oportunities...I have been no North Korea..a weird experience...and I had no conntact with normal north koreans..only government minders,dumb hotel staff and people that where shown to me...dancing children etcetc..

    @TheOrderoftheOwl Try reading "The Road to Serfdom" by Hayek, that's all I'll say :) Your opinion is irrelevant to me, I don't care whether you think "there should not be any billionnaires in the world", but lay your hand on other people's property or use violence against them and you are a thief or a thug and it becomes an issue. Take your greed (socialists are greedier than any capitalist) and jealousy elsewhere (North Korea will do).

  • @klee4
    @klee4 Před 12 lety

    Excellent point, if you don't live there, then go ask the entire NoKor population. For china, nuke NoKor neutralize any threat to their border. NoKor is very NORMAL like you countyry is NORMAL, but no way perfect, like your country is NO way perfect. NoKor education system trumps that of SoKor, like any Northeast Asian country education is greatly valued. NoKor is NOT isolated as they have economic/ military exchanges with Russia and China, and most of the Europeans.
