Unleash Your Inner Hiker: Nike ACG Air Mada Review

After wearing the Nike ACG Air Mada for about a month I'm ready to talk about them. While I haven't been a big fan of Nike for some time I was gifted these shoes last Chritmas and decided it was time to test them out.
On the comfort side they get a top rating. They are just like wearing tennis shoes but after all they are Nike brand shoes. The air ride technology that Nike is known for comes in these hiking shoes as well. For someone over the weigt of 200 pounds like myself, I am very hard on shoes. It only took 3 weeks of rough wear on these shoes and they were no longer water proof and the heels broke down on the inside. The heels broke down so much that they make an awful squeaking sound whenever your foot hits the ground. This squeak was so loud that I could no longer use them for everyday walking aroung use without completing cracking myself up from the incessant noise that they made. Walking in brush or out on the trail they were fine but for doing some grocery shopping they were now off limits.
Tread wise these shoes do well with a wave on the toe and main treads in the middle with split tread around the egdes. Holds well to terrain.
These shoes would be fine for someoen that is looking for a super comfortable hiking shoe for a weekend adventure on some tame trails but I wouldn't purchasse them for an everyday hiking person. #Nike #acg #sneakers #gear #review

Nice review, you seem like the best person for me to see review this shoe. Especially in the east where there’s water on most hikes. Probably something that’s easy to transition in from a day hike to dinner in town afterwards. Cheers from PA.

I loved the look, but nothing I did - baby powder, spent more money buying insoles - stopped the squeaking on every step. I had to return them.

The best overall hikers that work for me have always been Keen. I guess because the of the way my feet roll they last the longest and stay waterproof for.the most time as well. But, you can find even better brands that you can't get in big box stores.

An old trick to stop the squeaking is to put baby powder under the insoles .Another thing would be to swap the insoles out

My jordan 10s used to squeak alot , try putting baby power in the sole it worked for me.
