Yes, the burn branding hurts 300x more.

My jordan 10s used to squeak alot , try putting baby power in the sole it worked for me.
You can see the hors backing up from the pain, just keep the horse safe. BURNING a horse has nothing o do with never getting abused?
FOA I am absolutely against iron branding, although I feel like I need to clarify something. When done properly, the horse is under local anesthesia (not all breeders do it tho) and with this type of branding they don’t feel the pain after a few seconds. They horse is stepping back, not because of the pain, but because to have a “good” marking you have to apply and insane amount of pressure, so the horse is just being pushed. I don’t like branding but if you have to do it, this method is far better than hot iron branding.
It’s not typically painful. It’s cold and uncomfortable, but horses also tend to back away from dewormer.

An old trick to stop the squeaking is to put baby powder under the insoles .Another thing would be to swap the insoles out
