As a Chelsea fan, I'm not unconfident about tomorrow. It's really weird to assume we're worried , or explain that we 'can' win as if this is a left-field hot-take. Granted, we haven't been able to beat them this season, but they haven't been able to beat us. We seem to show up against the opposition who are *supposed* to beat us, but bottle it against lower ranked sides. I'm more confident about a City tie than I would be against Coventry.

I love Chelsea and do take some hope from the fact they haven't beaten us all season but I'm very doubtful we can manage this one. It would be very chelsea to beat city and somehow Loose to Coventry in the final tho

Make City players run for God's sake, in any way but MAKE THEM RUN. They will be mentally and physically exhausted with the 120 mins against Real Madrid. Chelsea might be poor but one thing they don't lack is energy, thanks to the young players. The way Chelsea played at the Etihad in the 1st half was so incredible, City looked as vulnerable as they did when Conte won 1-3 at the Etihad in the title winning season. Palmer has another opportunity to make City regret (atleast not to get a higher fee than 45M!!), hope Sterling can get the better of Walker, again!!
All this positivity is not because I am a Chelsea fan, I support Man United!! I would love my team to play against a team against whom we have a 50-60% chance to win, rather than a team where that is 5% (or 1-2%)🥲

Poch doesn’t need to do anything. Pep will do all the heavy lifting for him. Pep plays an obscenely high line that’s been an utter failure by any measure. Every team City have played has gotten a few golden chances at goal via the counter attack down the flanks as Pep pushes his FBs too high up the pitch and they can’t recovery properly. One would think a manger such as Pep would address such a major flaw in his system, but you’d be wrong. From Luton Town to Chelsea to MU to Real Madrid to Copenhagen not only have each been gifted several gilt edged chances to score on the counter down the flanks, but every one of those teams have scored at least once because of it.
Unlike last season, Pep’s continued inflexibility and refusal to adapt has been costly. City rank worst defense in PL against the counter attack; we’ve kept fewer clean sheets & conceded more goals this season with 6 games to play than we have in the entirety of each of the last 3 seasons in the PL. Yet Pep refuses to address it in any meaningful - albeit obvious - way (drop the line 10-15 meter like last season?) - and so I have no doubt that Peps stubbornness will be the advantage for Chelsea to play to advance to the next round in much the same way Real Madrid in the CL.
One might ask why I’m being so negative. Simple. Pep has shown, for whatever the reason, he is incapable of adapting his system when faced with adversity very much unlike what he did last season when he was richly rewarded with the treble for his flexibility of system and tactics. This season, Pep has given zero indication that he sees the problem, let alone will actually address it. Therefore, barring divine intervention, I have reason to think Pep will alter his absurd and costly high line tomorrow and I expect Chelsea to take full advantage of it countering City in very quick transitions down the flank and eventually putting a few balls in the back of the net from the many gilt edged chances we will afford them.
