The way they built this saw just makes sense. Bolt carb to cylinder, hook up controls, air filter base, filter and snap style too cover one piece. I've spent more time fiddling the impulse line onto the cylinder on a 026 than the process you did in the video. It's like Stihl and Husqvarna keep adding complexity when Echo choose an age old approach that just works; 272 style where you can do everything without bending over or moving the saw about - everything easily accessible from the top. It even looks kinda cool. Might have to pick one of these up even though I've thought of Echo as a budget brand, this saw might be the one that speaks to my soul.

Very interesting seeing your set-up with the digital angle gauge. I am looking to get a new saw and wonder what you thought are comparing this saw to Stihl saws: MS400 and MS500. Can you tell me about your thoughts on these all 3 both before and after port work? Out of the 3 saws, which of them do you fell you can get the best post porting performance from? Thank you.

Hello Sr. Have you ever tried an 066 stock vs a 066 big bore top end to see if there is a performance gain? I have read that the crank case doesn't have enough volume to support it. Therefore not really gaining anymore real power. I'm pretty new to saws so just wondering. Thank you.

Sorry about that, I could do a better job of explaining things at times. It gets difficult because everyone has different styles, some use port time like me. 78 intake 101 exhaust 125 transfer. Others use port heights, and some use the total duration when figuring out what "numbers" to use. They all do the same job, are used to help duplicate results.
