In today’s video, I’ll be going over some natural dandruff remedies that will help you solve this frustrating issue without having to try out multiple different types of shampoo. The process I provide you with in this video is the best natural dandruff treatment available. So, if you want to remove dandruff from your hair at home, give it a try!
    00:00 Introduction
    00:25 What is Dandruff?
00:39 How to Get Rid of Dandruff
    01:04 Vitamin D3
    02:37 Coconut Oil
    03:33 Blood Type Diet
    04:24 Conclusion
    ---
Dandruff is related to an imbalance in the skin and scalp microbiome caused by immune system issues. Instead of solely relying on dandruff shampoos, it is recommended that you try these three key strategies:
    1. Vitamin D3: Adequate vitamin D3 is crucial for a healthy scalp and immune system. Lack of sun exposure and sunscreen use can lead to deficiencies. The optimal range for vitamin D3 levels is between 60 and 80 nanograms per milliliter; supplementation may be necessary to achieve this range.
    2. Coconut Oil: Coconut oil, rich in caprylic acid, has anti-fungal and anti-yeast properties. It can be used internally and externally to combat yeast overgrowth on the scalp. Massaging coconut oil into the scalp and leaving it for 20-30 minutes before washing can be an effective topical treatment.
    3. Diet Based on Blood Type: Different blood types (O, A, B, AB) have distinct dietary recommendations, and adhering to the appropriate diet can help balance the immune system and reduce inflammation, which may contribute to dandruff.
These natural methods can help correct the underlying causes of dandruff, provide a long-term solution, and reduce the reliance on dandruff shampoos. Regular monitoring of vitamin D levels is also advised to maintain the optimal range.

What if you have a genetic immunodeficiency or an acquired one where your body cannot correct itself? I have NK cell deficiency with co-occurring b cell issues. This condition was undiagnosed until I caught cold sores in adulthood. It is so rare that doctors do not have a treatment protocol yet and keep passing me around like a hot potato. One of the first signs was overnight severe seb derm on my face and scalp along with unremitting cold sores and yeast infections.
I've tried almost every shampoo and like you said, it only holds it back for so long. I tried coconut oil and it made it worse. (I think the yeast ate it.). To this day I cannot use most skincare products because of MCAS and chemical sensitivity issues.
I will look into your diet recommendations. I had not heard of them. Most doctors are not only dismissive about my hair loss, but also the constant cold sores and infections because they see it as "cosmetic."

Sir could u please answer my question? I just wanted to ask that will coconut oil be good for my oily/greasy scalp? As I have heard that coconut oil clogs pores more of an oily scalp which will make its greasiness worse and resulting in severe hair loss, Could you tell me what do please 🙏🏻

    • @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist
      @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist  Před 5 měsíci

Coconut oil can indeed be beneficial for the scalp, but its suitability largely depends on individual scalp conditions and reactions. For someone with an oily or greasy scalp, the concern about coconut oil potentially clogging pores and exacerbating greasiness and hair loss is valid. Coconut oil is known for its moisturizing properties, which can be too heavy for those with already oily scalps, potentially leading to clogged pores and increased hair loss.
However, coconut oil also contains caprylic acid, a medium-chain fatty acid with antifungal properties, which can help combat dandruff by targeting yeast growth on the scalp. If you're considering using coconut oil, you might want to try it in a small amount to see how your scalp reacts. Using it as a pre-shampoo treatment rather than leaving it on your scalp for extended periods may minimize any negative effects on oily scalp conditions.
In the context of dandruff treatment, focusing on internal health and balancing the scalp's microbiome is crucial. Ensuring adequate vitamin D3 levels, as mentioned, supports the immune system and can help manage dandruff more effectively. Dietary adjustments, including the intake of caprylic acid through coconut oil or other sources, can also support a healthy scalp from the inside out.
For your specific concern with an oily/greasy scalp, it might be beneficial to explore lightweight, non-comedogenic oils or treatments that regulate oil production without heavy residue. Additionally, maintaining a diet that supports your overall health and specifically your scalp can make a significant difference. Eating right for your blood type, as suggested, could help balance your body's immune response and potentially reduce scalp issues.
If you're unsure about the best approach for your scalp type, consulting with a trichologist or dermatologist can provide personalized advice. They can recommend treatments and products tailored to your specific needs, ensuring you don't exacerbate your scalp's oiliness while addressing dandruff.
